Frequent false labor in the second trimester

Frequent false labor in the second trimester

Most pregnant women will experience false labor in the middle and late stages of pregnancy. When pregnant women have false labor, they will feel special pain in their abdomen. This phenomenon is relatively normal, but when the real labor begins to come, it means that the woman is about to give birth. Almost every pregnant woman will experience false labor. So is it normal to have frequent false labor in the middle of pregnancy?

Normally, uterine contraction reaction should occur when the fetus is about to be delivered, that is, after ten months of pregnancy, the fetus is delivered through the birth canal through the uterine contraction reaction. This is a normal process of life delivery. Therefore, uterine contraction reaction should be a very normal reaction in the late pregnancy.

However, the uterine contraction reaction that should have occurred in the late pregnancy occurred in the middle pregnancy. Is it normal? The answer is of course no. If uterine contractions occur in the second trimester, they are called "false uterine contractions" by medical students. This reaction is generally fine, but if it occurs frequently, it is very detrimental to the development of the fetus and may even cause miscarriage. If false labor causes abdominal pain or vaginal bleeding, it would be a serious situation and it is best to send the pregnant woman directly to the hospital.

False labor in the second trimester is generally caused by two reasons, including reasons related to the pregnant woman and the fetus. In most cases, the main reasons are due to the pregnant woman herself, such as overwork, smoking, drinking, or illness; while the reasons on the fetus mainly refer to the fetus's large-scale movement in the mother's uterus.

In short, frequent false labor is not a good thing, because false labor will affect the blood circulation of the mother's uterus, thereby affecting the supply and nutrition delivery of the fetus in the uterus, and affecting the development of the fetus. Therefore, false labor during pregnancy should be avoided as much as possible. So, in life, how should expectant mothers avoid false labor during mid-pregnancy? Today, let’s discuss this with all the expectant mothers here, hoping to be able to help all of you.

First of all, after we recognize the cause of false labor, we must prescribe the right medicine. For pregnant women, they should pay attention to their daily routine in the second trimester and avoid overwork. Moreover, they should maintain good living habits, quit smoking and drinking, and keep their bodies healthy throughout the pregnancy. Only in this way can they minimize the probability of false labor.
