When should you do postpartum exercises?

It is very hard for pregnant women to be pregnant for ten months. After giving birth, the body will be in a very weak state. In addition, due to lack of activity during pregnancy, the figure of many mothers will be out of shape. In this case, in addition to dietary adjustment, it is also very beneficial to do proper postpartum health exercises. So, when should we do postpartum exercises? Let’s take a look below.

If the mother has a normal delivery and is healthy, she can start getting out of bed and moving around the next day after delivery, and start doing some health exercises. Mothers can lie in bed and do some exercises such as raising their heads, stretching their arms, and raising their legs, 4 to 5 times a day, repeating 5 to 6 times each time. Do some anal contraction exercises at any time, 30 to 50 times a day, which can promote the recovery of pelvic muscle tension.

After delivery, in order to prevent the formation of retroverted uterus, mothers can lie on their stomach for 15 minutes every morning when they wake up or go to bed at night; from the 10th day after delivery, mothers can do chest-knee position once in the morning and evening, starting from 2 to 3 minutes each time and gradually increasing to 15 minutes. One week after delivery, they can do some sit-ups to further promote the recovery of abdominal muscles.

Postpartum mothers should remember to increase their activities gradually and stick to it every day, but they should be careful not to make themselves too tired. If any abnormal conditions are found, mothers should remember to delay or suspend exercise.

Generally speaking, if the mother is of weak constitution, or has a long labor or delivered through surgery, the time and amount of postpartum exercises should be arranged according to the specific situation.

If mothers have fever, heavy bleeding, serious cardiovascular and kidney diseases, severe perineum tears, etc. after delivery, they are not suitable for health exercises.

After childbirth, you can do some health recovery exercises, depending on the situation and under the doctor's advice.
