There are many cervical diseases that women suffer from. The most familiar ones are cervical erosion and cervicitis. There is also the very serious cervical cancer. If a woman suffers from cervical cancer, cervical lesions will definitely occur, but generally mild cervical diseases will not cause cervical lesions. If you find any discomfort in your cervix, you should go to the hospital for diagnosis in time. If there are lesions in the cervix, the following symptoms are most likely to occur.

What are the symptoms of uterine lesions?

Many women only discover cervical precancerous lesions during physical examinations because the clinical symptoms of this disease are not obvious in most cases. Although cervical precancerous lesions are not cervical cancer, they should still be given enough attention because if cervical precancerous lesions are not treated in time and worsen, they may develop into cervical cancer. For your own health, let’s learn about the symptoms of cervical precancerous lesions.

1. Vaginal bleeding. This is the main symptom of cervical precancerous lesions. In the early stages, it is mainly contact bleeding, usually after sexual intercourse, and sometimes during gynecological examinations. As the disease progresses, irregular vaginal bleeding may develop in the middle and late stages.

2. Increased vaginal discharge. Female vaginal secretions are mainly leucorrhea, and increased leucorrhea is one of the symptoms of cervical precancerous lesions. It should be noted that many gynecological diseases may cause an increase in leucorrhea. If you find abnormal leucorrhea, you need to go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment in time.

3. Cervical erosion. Many women have cervical erosion, which, if not healed for a long time, may lead to cervical precancerous lesions.

4. Long-term leucorrhea and mixed blood. Some people have mixed leucorrhea after sex.

Increased vaginal bleeding and vaginal discharge. Vaginal bleeding may manifest as contact bleeding, postmenopausal bleeding or irregular vaginal bleeding. Be alert to the possibility of tumors. Cervical and vaginal cell smears are non-destructive, simple and easy to perform. If there is any doubt, they can be repeated multiple times. They are the best way to screen for early cervical cancer. HPV infection is closely related to cervical cancer and should be tested for HPV at the same time. Atypical squamous cells are caused by cell mutation due to cervical inflammation. Atypical squamous cells refer to morphologically abnormal squamous epithelial cells whose morphological characteristics and lesion nature cannot be confirmed. They are the basis for cytopathological diagnosis and indicate precancerous lesions, which should be reviewed and confirmed regularly.

Atypical hyperplasia can be divided into mild, moderate and severe. If left untreated, about 10% to 15% of mild and moderate atypical hyperplasia may develop into invasive cancer, and about 75% of severe atypical hyperplasia and carcinoma in situ may develop into invasive cancer. If the biopsy shows mild atypical hyperplasia, it should be temporarily treated as inflammation and reviewed regularly. Patients diagnosed with moderate atypical hyperplasia should be treated with laser, freezing, and electroperm. For severe atypical hyperplasia, hysterectomy is generally recommended.
