Hematuria in women

Hematuria in women

Women should be alert when they have hematuria. There are many reasons for hematuria, which may be related to urinary tract infection or kidney disease. In addition, if it is caused by tumors, it will also cause hematuria. At this time, you must go to the hospital for regular examination in time to understand the specific reasons and avoid harm to your health. Let's take a look at the reasons for hematuria.

Hematuria in women

Normally, there are no red blood cells in urine. In medicine, the patient's urine is centrifuged and then examined under a microscope. If there are more than 5 red blood cells in each high-power field of view, it is called hematuria. If red blood cells are only detected under a microscope, but the blood in the urine cannot be seen by the naked eye, it is called microscopic hematuria; if the urine can be seen to be "meat washing water-like" or bloody, or even contains blood streaks or blood clots, it is called gross hematuria.

What are the causes of blood in urine?

① Urinary tract infection: women have blood in their urine accompanied by frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating;

② Nephritis: hematuria accompanied by edema, fever, proteinuria, hypertension, etc.;

③ Urinary tract stones: hematuria accompanied by severe pain in the waist and abdomen. Although some stones are not passed, women often have blood in their urine after fatigue or exercise;

④Tumor: If there is no symptom of hematuria, the first thing to think of is tumor;

⑤ Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria has no obvious symptoms, and women only experience hematuria after sleep;

⑥ Blood disease: Friends who are concerned about why women urinate blood should also undergo a blood test if necessary. Hematuria is accompanied by bleeding from multiple parts of the skin and orifices, sometimes accompanied by fever.

To clarify which disease causes hematuria, it is still necessary to conduct various tests, X-ray and CT examinations, or even kidney biopsy based on symptoms and physical signs to confirm the diagnosis.
