Can a transvaginal ultrasound detect fallopian tubes?

Can a transvaginal ultrasound detect fallopian tubes?

Vaginal ultrasound is very similar to B-ultrasound for women, but both of these tests will produce radiation for women, and it is more painful than B-ultrasound. However, there are some places that cannot be seen during vaginal ultrasound, and even if they can be seen, they are relatively blurry. The best way to treat female fallopian tube diseases is to do hysterosalpingography. So can vaginal ultrasound be used to see the fallopian tubes?

Can a transvaginal ultrasound show problems with the fallopian tubes?

First: Drug treatment: Fallopian tube obstruction is mainly caused by gynecological inflammation. Gynecological inflammation is short-term, but the blockage of fallopian tubes is permanent. At this time, anti-inflammatory drugs can only eliminate inflammation but are absolutely unable to resolve adhesions.

Second: Physical therapy: The treatment of early fallopian tube blockage will adopt some superficial physical therapy, such as shortwave, microwave, etc., but these methods can only improve local blood circulation, but there are great problems in the treatment of intra-abdominal fallopian tube blockage.

Third: Fluid therapy: This treatment method has been abandoned by the World Health Organization because it is blind and the specific progress of the injected fluid in the patient's body cannot be seen. Blindly injecting fluid into the uterus and fallopian tubes may cause the risk of fallopian tube rupture and heavy bleeding.

Precautions

Within 2 weeks after angiography, patients should avoid taking a bath and having sexual intercourse to prevent intrauterine infection; patients should pay attention to the hygiene of their reproductive organs, wipe them with toilet paper after urination and defecation (after defecation, wipe from front to back to prevent cross infection), and wash them with water after defecation if necessary; wash the vulva with warm water once every night before going to bed, and use anti-inflammatory and bactericidal solutions under the guidance of a doctor if necessary; to effectively prevent infection, patients can undergo Chinese medicine conditioning under the guidance of a professional doctor.

Vaginal ultrasound cannot determine whether there is blockage, but it can roughly determine whether there are any abnormalities in the fallopian tubes. To check whether the fallopian tubes are fully patency, fluid insufflation or angiography may be required.

If you want to check whether there is a blockage and whether it is normal, you can go to the hospital for a fallopian tube permeability test three days after the menstruation is over to see whether it is normal.
