Uterine contractions are a relatively normal physiological phenomenon, but if they occur frequently, they may affect the fetus and cause premature birth.

Normal uterine contractions are not accompanied by vaginal bleeding. When uterine contractions cause bleeding, you should pay attention to whether it is placental abruption. Premature birth will cause regular uterine contractions and abdominal pain, which are considered to be symptoms of premature birth. The contraction may start as a dull backache or stabbing pain that radiates down the thigh. As time progresses, the contractions may occur in the abdomen and feel more like sharp period pains.

It usually starts from the 28th week of pregnancy. Before delivery, "false labor" will become more and more frequent due to the traction and stimulation of the lower uterine segment caused by the descending fetal head. If it only occurs occasionally and does not last long, and there is no vaginal bleeding, there is no need to be nervous, as it is mostly normal.

Bleeding caused by uterine contraction is usually considered to be caused by the gradual increase in hormone levels after pregnancy. It is generally not too worrying. If the bleeding lasts for a long time, it is best to go to a local regular hospital for detailed consultation. Now you should refrain from sexual intercourse, stay in bed and rest, avoid fatigue, eat less spicy and irritating food and raw and cold food, eat more fresh vegetables, drink plenty of water, and keep your bowel movements smooth. At the same time, you should maintain emotional stability, avoid tense environments, and supplement adequate nutrition.

3. Causes of bleeding during pregnancy

1. Threatened abortion, the main symptoms are pregnancy bleeding and abdominal pain in early pregnancy. Usually in the threatened miscarriage stage.

2. Ectopic pregnancy, also known as ectopic pregnancy. When an ectopic pregnancy occurs, vaginal bleeding usually occurs about 40 days after the menstrual period ends, often accompanied by dull pain, bloating, and heaviness in the lower abdomen.

3. Hydatidiform mole and pregnancy bleeding in hydatidiform mole occur later than miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy, usually around 3 months.
