How long does it take for menstruation to occur when the endometrium is 11?

The thickness of a woman's endometrium is different throughout the month. When the thickness of a woman's endometrium reaches a certain level, it indicates that her menstruation is about to come. However, there is also a phenomenon that the endometrium of some women is too thick, which causes the endometrium to not shed normally, affecting menstruation. Therefore, women with this phenomenon should go to the hospital for a timely check-up. When the endometrial thickness reaches 11, how long will it take for menstruation to occur?

If an ultrasound shows that the thickness of the endometrium is 11 mm, it means that menstruation is about to come. However, if there is insufficient progesterone, menstruation will not come naturally at this time and medication will be needed. The prerequisite for menstruation is that the thickness of the endometrium must be at least 0.8 mm. Only at this time can taking progesterone cause withdrawal bleeding.

Thick endometrium and absence of menstruation may be caused by endocrine disorders. It may be related to the ovarian corpus luteum function and the level of progesterone secreted by the ovaries. You can go to the hospital for an endocrine examination in time. If there are no other abnormalities, you can choose progesterone to induce menstruation.

If there are suspicious lesions in the endometrium, a diagnostic curettage is required. Further treatment can be performed after the pathological type is clarified. If the endometrium is simply hyperplastic, the problem is generally not very serious. If it is atypical hyperplasia, it must be paid attention to or surgical curettage can be used for treatment.

Normal endometrium is divided into 3 stages:

1. Proliferative stage: On the 5th to 14th day of the menstrual cycle, the endometrium proliferates by 1-2mm to 3-5mm, and the endometrium has an uneven surface.

2. Secretory phase: Day 15-19 of the menstrual cycle. By the late secretory stage, the endometrium thickens into a spongy state with a thickness of about 1.0-1.2 cm.

3. Menstrual period: Day 1-4 of the menstrual cycle.
