Pink discharge before period

Pink discharge before period

Generally, women will have some physical signs before menstruation. This is the body's way of reminding women that they are about to have their period and should prepare in advance. However, some women find that their lower body secretes pink secretions before their menstruation, which is very different from normal menstrual blood. So what is the reason for pink discharge before menstruation?

1. What is the reason for pink discharge before menstruation?

1. About 3-5 days or even 7 days before menstruation, a small amount of blood will drip from the uterus. The color may be bright, dark, or light red. If this occurs for more than two months in a row, it is called "premenstrual spotting" or "premenstrual bleeding."

2. Premenstrual spotting is quite common in clinical practice and is one of the manifestations of what Western medicine calls "functional uterine bleeding". The onset of the disease is closely related to luteal insufficiency, so it is called "luteal phase bleeding".

3. If the corpus luteum is incompletely developed and degenerates prematurely within 8 days, the secretion of progesterone will be insufficient and the endometrium will show poor secretion in the early secretory phase, which will manifest clinically as a shortened menstrual cycle or premenstrual spotting.

2. Reasons for delayed menstruation

1. Pregnancy : For women of childbearing age who have had sexual life, when their menstruation is delayed, they often doubt whether it is menstruation abnormality or pregnancy. This problem is a very common phenomenon in daily life. How to rule out pregnancy and how to determine whether it is a menstrual disease are the first issues that need to be clarified.

2. Side effects of the drug . Endocrine disorders after long-term use of contraceptives can also cause delayed menstruation. Central dopamine receptors are inhibited, resulting in a decrease in the amount of hypothalamic release factors entering the anterior pituitary. As a result, the anterior pituitary secretes less gonadotropin and corticotropin, leading to amenorrhea and delayed ovulation.

3. Irregular living habits . According to research, when women are exposed to cold during menstruation, the blood vessels in the pelvis will contract excessively, which can cause oligomenorrhea or even amenorrhea. Therefore, women should have a regular daily life, avoid excessive fatigue, and especially keep away from cold and damp during menstruation.
