Why is it difficult for multiparous women to enter the pelvis

We all know that for pregnant women, if they have already given birth to a baby, it will be much easier to give birth to the second child than the first, and the delivery time will be relatively shorter. Although the labor time of a primipara is shorter than that of a first-time mother, the time when the uterus enters the pelvis will be later. So why is it difficult for first-time mothers to get into the pelvis? What are the three reasons why it is difficult for first-time mothers to get into the pelvis?

First: the birth canal is relaxed. It is a common phenomenon that primiparas have a late engagement of the pelvis. This is mainly because when giving birth to their first child, the birth canal of primiparas will become loose, so the fetal head will not fall quickly, which will result in a late engagement of the pelvis. Generally, after the pregnant woman's uterus contracts, the fetus will be slowly squeezed and lowered.

Second: fetal factors. Some first-time mothers may have a head-pelvis disproportion or a fetus that is too large due to some poor sitting or sleeping postures during pregnancy, which will cause the fetal head to enter the pelvis later. In addition, if the pregnant woman has a narrow pelvis, it will also affect the normal entry of the fetus into the pelvis.

Third: Generally, the time when the fetal head enters the pelvis is related to the normal posture of the pregnant woman. If the pregnant woman sits down to work for a long time during pregnancy, or sits on the sofa to watch TV for a long time, it will cause the fetus to be in the posterior position, that is, the back of the fetus's head is facing the pregnant woman's spine. In this case, the fetus will enter the pelvis later.

If a primipara has a late onset of labor and is accompanied by abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding, she should go to the hospital for examination in time to ensure the health of the fetus. If the fetus is reluctant to enter the calf, then for the health of the pregnant woman and the fetus, it is recommended that the pregnant woman choose a cesarean section to deliver the baby. Whether you are a primipara or a new mother, you must observe your condition in time during the late pregnancy. If you feel unwell, you must seek medical attention as soon as possible. And in the later stages of pregnancy, you must insist on doing prenatal check-ups once a week so that you can keep track of the health of the fetus in a timely manner.
