1. Difference in causes:

Pelvic effusion can be divided into physiological pelvic effusion and pathological pelvic effusion. Physiological pelvic effusion is caused by a small amount of menstrual blood flowing back into the pelvic cavity during menstruation or the accumulation of ovulation fluid in the pelvic cavity during ovulation, while pathological pelvic effusion is caused by diseases such as pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancy, ovarian tumor, and ovarian cyst rupture. Patients with physiological pelvic effusion do not have any symptoms, while patients with pathological pelvic effusion will experience symptoms such as irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, increased leucorrhea, lower abdominal distension and pain, low back pain, fatigue, and fever. When the ascites patient's ascites increases to a certain level, symptoms such as abdominal distension, abdominal bloating, and mild abdominal pain will occur. When the patient has a large amount of ascites, the abdominal pressure will increase and symptoms such as abdominal distension and groin distension will occur. At the same time, symptoms such as nausea, fullness, loss of appetite, and lower limb edema will also occur.

3. Differences in complications:

If patients with physiological pelvic effusion have pelvic effusion for a long time, they will suffer from neurasthenia, with specific manifestations such as insomnia and lack of energy. If patients with pathological pelvic effusion are not treated in time, the inflammation of the surrounding tissues of the pelvis will spread and affect other organs in the pelvic area. If the fimbria of the fallopian tube is affected, it will cause blockage of the fallopian tube and inflammatory adhesions, leading to infertility. The complications that occur in patients with ascites include bacterial peritonitis, fat peritonitis, pleural effusion and other diseases.
