Brown sticky discharge during non-menstrual period

Brown sticky discharge during non-menstrual period

Brown discharge during non-menstrual periods is considered non-menstrual bleeding. There are many reasons for missed period bleeding. If it is in the middle of two menstrual periods, it is considered to be ovulation bleeding. For some girls, vaginal bleeding occurs due to the large fluctuation of estrogen levels during ovulation, which causes part of the uterine wall to fall off. Bleeding is usually less and lasts for several hours or 2-3 days. This is physiological and generally does not require treatment unless there are other discomfort symptoms.

Secondly, vaginitis, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, contraceptive ring disorders, threatened abortion, ectopic pregnancy, and even some gynecological malignant tumors can cause non-menstrual bleeding. In this case, you need to go to the gynecology department of a regular hospital in time to do routine leucorrhea examination, colposcopy and other corresponding examinations. After the cause of the disease is determined, targeted treatment can be carried out.

There is no need to worry too much about the appearance of brown vaginal discharge during the non-menstrual period. If pink discharge appears in the middle or late period of the menstrual period, it is considered to be ovulation bleeding. If the amount of bleeding is small, it is recommended that you just observe it. If vaginal bleeding occurs after the menstrual period is over, it is considered to be caused by incomplete contraction of the corpus luteum or insufficiency of the corpus luteum. If this happens for a long time, it is recommended that you use appropriate medications for adjustment and have a blood test on the second day of the menstrual period to check female hormones.

If there is brown discharge during non-menstrual period, the first thing to consider is the abnormal brown discharge caused by cervical disease. At this time, a gynecological digital examination and cervical screening are required to determine whether there is a healthy or malignant cervical disease. If no obvious abnormalities are found in the gynecological digital examination and cervical screening, a transvaginal color Doppler ultrasound examination is required to determine the thickness of the uterine wall, the echo of the uterine wall, and whether there are organic diseases such as uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts. These diseases can cause abnormal brown secretions. If no abnormalities are found in the above tests, a six-item test of female sex hormones can be performed to determine whether the abnormal small amount of vaginal bleeding is caused by endocrine abnormalities.
