What causes low estrogen?

If the estrogen level is relatively low, it will cause greater harm to women and more symptoms, such as excessive body hair, menstrual disorders, back pain, etc. Estrogen is very important for women's health and is also relatively sensitive. There are many reasons for low estrogen, which are related to gynecological diseases, such as ovarian dysfunction, endocrine disorders, etc., which may cause low estrogen.

What causes low estrogen?

Estrogen plays a very important role in the female body. If a woman's estrogen level is low, it will easily affect the development of her secondary sexual characteristics, and may also cause symptoms such as odor and itching in the lower body, calcium deficiency, decreased libido, and various diseases, such as osteoporosis, infertility, menopausal syndrome, and irregular menstruation. Therefore, low estrogen levels are extremely harmful to women, and women must pay great attention to it.

Estrogen is very important to women, so what is the cause of low estrogen?

1. Low estrogen may be caused by some systemic diseases. Low estrogen levels can be caused by diabetes, ovarian disease, endocrine dysfunction, irregular menstruation, and other symptoms.

2. After entering menopause, many female friends will experience a significant decline in the functions of various organs in their bodies, which will also cause a decrease in estrogen levels in female friends, resulting in low estrogen levels.

3. Many young women have low estrogen levels because of their irregular diet. Some women eat less to stay slim.

4. The reason for low estrogen in women may also be caused by abnormalities in the hypothalamus, pituitary, and ovarian axis.

Low estrogen secretion can lead to irregular menstruation and a smaller uterus. In severe cases, it can cause osteoporosis, amenorrhea, and menopausal symptoms, so it should be taken seriously.

Symptoms of Low Estrogen

1. Hot flashes

Without any inducement, the feeling of heat spreads rapidly from the chest to the face and upper limbs, sometimes accompanied by palpitations and sweating. Some women suffer mainly from nocturnal hot flashes, often waking up in the middle of the night, sweating all over. Hot flashes and night sweats are caused by estrogen deficiency, which leads to anarchic vasoconstriction and relaxation.

2. Back pain

Low estrogen levels can also cause back pain in women. The pain will spread to both sides along the spine, and will be relieved when lying on your back or sitting. The pain will be aggravated when standing upright or stretching back or standing or sitting for a long time. The pain will be mild during the day and worsen at night and when waking up in the early morning. It will be aggravated by bending over, muscle movement, coughing, or straining when defecating.

3. Dull skin

In the few days before and during menstruation, women's skin will appear dry, dull, and lack luster, and even fine wrinkles will become more obvious. This is when the body has the least estrogen.

4. Abnormal mental and neurological symptoms

Estrogen can also cause mental abnormalities in women, such as anxiety, depression, irritability, anger, crying, fatigue, and a feeling of ants crawling on the skin. They always feel as if groups of ants are crawling on their skin and in their hair, which is very uncomfortable. However, no abnormalities were found after dermatological examinations.

5. Osteoporosis

During menopause, women's blood estrogen levels drop significantly, making them most susceptible to osteoporosis. Bones will become lighter, softer, more brittle, and more prone to fractures; height will decrease and the back will become hunchbacked; and symptoms of low back pain will appear.
