Increased vaginal discharge the day before menstruation

Increased vaginal discharge the day before menstruation

Every normal woman who has a menstrual period will have leucorrhea, which is a symbol of ovulation for women. Some people will have a slight increase in leucorrhea the day before their period. This is the body's normal regulation and secretion. If the shape, color or smell of the leucorrhea changes differently, or is much more serious than before, you need to get checked to avoid other complications that you are not aware of.

Physiological changes: Approaching menstruation

In the one or two weeks before menstruation, women will experience an increase in vaginal discharge. This is a physiological factor and there is no need to worry.

Pathological changes: In addition to increased leucorrhea, there are also some other changes

If there are pathological changes, in addition to the increase in vaginal discharge, there may be abnormalities in color and odor. At this time, you should go to the hospital for examination in time.

1. Yellow leucorrhea

Most of them are due to bacterial infection. Gonorrhea, tuberculosis, etc. may be the cause of the disease. Treponema pallidum can also cause purulent infection of the vagina. If a large amount of leucorrhea with a special odor is discharged from the vagina, you should suspect whether there is a foreign object in the vagina, which causes increased leucorrhea and serious infection.

2. Watery leucorrhea

In the early stages of malignant tumors, uterine cancer, fallopian tube cancer, etc., there will be an increase in leucorrhea.

3. Colorless, transparent, sticky leucorrhea

It is the same as egg white or slightly turbid, and there will be an increase in leucorrhea. However, there are rarely other symptoms. This type of leucorrhea is mostly seen in chronic cervicitis, endocervicitis and after the use of estrogen.

4. Bloody leucorrhea

Bloody leucorrhea means that there is blood mixed in the leucorrhea. The appearance of this leucorrhea may be cervical cancer, uterine cancer, vaginal tumors, etc., and you should be alert to the occurrence of malignant tumors. Some benign diseases such as senile vaginitis and cervical erosion may also cause this leucorrhea.

5. Yellow mucous leucorrhea

Caused by cervical erosion, chronic cervicitis, etc.

6. Foamy leucorrhea

This may be caused by bathing in a public bath or using a public bath towel or bathtub, which leads to the appearance of grayish white or grayish yellow foamy leucorrhea with a sour and smelly smell.

7. White mucous leucorrhea

Its properties are the same as normal, but the amount increases. This type of leucorrhea is generally caused by increased secretions of cervical glands and vaginal mucosa after using estrogen or when the pelvic cavity is congested.

How to prevent health care in daily life?

1. Women must take medication under the guidance of a doctor. If the medication is not suitable for the condition, it may make the condition worse.

2. Avoid wearing tight pants such as jeans, and avoid wearing tight nylon underwear. It is best to choose cotton underwear.

3. Regular check-ups. Even if you do not feel any discomfort, you should still have regular check-ups and try to have a comprehensive gynecological examination at least once a year.

4. Seek medical attention promptly. If there is any increase in vaginal discharge or other discomfort, go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment immediately.

5. To enhance immunity, you can persist in exercising to strengthen your physical fitness, and also ensure adequate sleep, a proper diet, and a balanced nutrition. Eat more foods rich in vitamins.

6. Psychological adjustment: You can often find things that make you happy, or you can tend to flowers and plants, appreciate music, and maintain a peaceful mental state.

7. Try not to use sanitary pads on weekdays. Some women are worried that leucorrhea will stain their underwear or are too lazy to wash their underwear, so they always use sanitary pads. However, in fact, try not to use sanitary pads on weekdays. Wash the vulva with clean water and change underwear every night.
