What is the reason for vaginal blood and no smell?

The vagina is the reproductive organ of the female body and a very important part. The presence of blood in the vagina without any odor may be due to bleeding during ovulation. During the ovulation period, there will be some blood in the vaginal secretions, which is generally harmless to the body. However, vaginitis can easily lead to the appearance of blood, so you should pay attention to observe the condition at ordinary times.

What is the reason for vaginal blood and no smell?

Vaginal discharge with blood is a common problem faced by many female friends. Generally speaking, if there is blood in the vaginal discharge during the middle of the menstrual period and during the ovulation period, and it stops in about two days, it is considered as ovulation bleeding, which is a normal phenomenon. However, if there is blood in the vaginal discharge and the bleeding is heavy, it is not a normal phenomenon.

What causes blood in vaginal discharge?

Vaginal discharge with blood can be either physiological or pathological. Generally speaking, some women will experience ovulation bleeding during their ovulation period, also known as mid-menstrual bleeding, which refers to a small amount of bleeding between two normal menstrual periods, which may be accompanied by varying degrees of lower abdominal pain. If the symptoms are mild, no treatment is needed. If the bleeding is heavy or affects fertility, medication can be used for treatment. If there is blood in the vaginal discharge, you should also consider the possibility of the following diseases:

(1) Cervical polyps.

(2) Acute vaginitis.

(3) Severe cervical erosion.

(4) Senile vaginitis.

(5) Cervical cancer.

(6) Submucosal uterine fibroids.

(7) Endometrial cancer. In addition, sometimes due to the placement of an intrauterine contraceptive ring, there is some blood mixed in the vaginal secretions. What causes vaginal discharge to have an odor? Vaginitis causes discharge to have an odor. The main clinical features of vaginitis are changes in the properties of leucorrhea and itching and burning pain in the vulva. It is also common for discharge to have an odor. When the infection involves the urethra, there may be symptoms such as urinary pain and urgency. Common vaginitis includes bacterial vaginosis, Trichomonas vaginitis, candidal vaginitis, and senile vaginitis.

Cervicitis causes secretions with odor. Cervicitis is a common disease among women of childbearing age, and there are two types: acute and chronic. Acute cervicitis often coexists with acute endometritis or acute vaginitis, but chronic cervicitis is more common. Symptoms of chronic cervicitis include excessive leucorrhea, which is white and mucous or contains blood, or bleeding during sexual intercourse, accompanied by vulvar itching, lumbar pain, and worsening during menstruation.

Vaginal bleeding symptoms can be roughly divided into the following types: 1. Increased menstrual volume and prolonged menstrual period but normal cycle. It may be uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, or dysfunctional uterine bleeding. In addition, those who have used an intrauterine device may also have increased menstrual flow.

2. Vaginal bleeding with irregular menstrual cycle. It is often functional uterine bleeding, but endometrial cancer should be ruled out first.

3. Long-term vaginal bleeding. Most of them are malignant tumors of reproductive organs, such as cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, etc.

4. Irregular bleeding after menopause. Women of childbearing age are more likely to be concerned about pregnancy-related diseases, such as miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, hydatidiform mole, etc.; postmenopausal women are more likely to have malignant tumors.

5. Bleeding after sexual intercourse. Most of them are cervical erosion, cervical polyps, cervical cancer or submucosal myoma.

6. Vaginal bleeding with leucorrhea. It is often considered to be advanced cervical cancer or endometrial cancer with infection.

7. Paroxysmal vaginal bleeding. There is a possibility of primary fallopian tube cancer.

8. Intermenstrual bleeding. It occurs between two menstrual periods, lasts for 3-4 days, and when the amount of blood is very small, it is mostly ovulation bleeding. 9. Spotting before and after menstruation. A small amount of bloody discharge a few days before or after menstruation is usually due to ovarian dysfunction, but may also be endometriosis.

10. The amount of bleeding is not much. Some people only have a small amount of brown secretion, which usually lasts for half a day or 2 to 3 days, and no more than 7 days at most. It may be accompanied by mild ovulation pain and back pain.
