What are the symptoms of nonspecific urethritis?

Nonspecific urethritis is also a common manifestation of urethritis in women. Generally, a few days after sexual intercourse, secretions are likely to increase and appear as sticky purulent substances, often accompanied by symptoms such as frequent urination and painful urination. It can cause burning of the tube during urination, causing turbidity in the initial urine, and symptoms such as urethral itching often occur. The health hazards to women are also relatively large.

Symptoms of urethritis in women

Symptom 1:

Frequent urination is accompanied by urgency and pain. Many patients with urethritis experience burning pain in the urethra, frequent urination, urgency, and even difficulty urinating when urinating.

Symptom 2:

Increased secretions. The main symptom of acute urethritis in male patients is more urethral secretions, which are mucous at first and gradually become purulent. Urethral secretions are rare in female patients.

Symptom three:

Urethral itching. In chronic urethritis, urethral secretions decrease, with only itching or a crawling sensation. The irritation of urination is no longer as obvious as in the acute phase, and some patients may be asymptomatic.

Precautions for female urethritis:

1. Get enough rest, don’t drink alcohol, and avoid spicy food.

2. Drink more water to increase urine volume. Drink at least 1000 ml of water (about two large cups) every day, and maintain daily urine volume at 1500-2000 ml to enhance the flushing effect of urine flow.

3. Take a shower or clean the perineum every night. If necessary, use some potassium permanganate for cleaning or sitz bath (potassium permanganate is commonly known as PP powder, and the amount can be determined by the color of the water in the basin turning pink). Change towels and underwear every day, and it is best to sterilize them by boiling water. You should urinate once after intercourse to expel bacteria from the urethra.
