Why is my period not coming even though I wore a condom?

It is said that menstruation is a weather map of women's reproductive health. The physiological clinical symptom that every woman is most concerned about is probably menstruation. We generally observe the menstrual period from four aspects, including the physiological cycle and duration, menstrual volume, menstrual pattern and whether there is menstrual pain. Generally speaking, a normal menstrual cycle should be 21 to 35 days, and a menstrual period should last 2 to 8 days.

Therefore, if your menstrual cycle is not exactly 30 days, your monthly period will not come according to the fixed day on the calendar, but should be calculated according to the actual number of days in the cycle. However, even in such a situation, there are still many women who are troubled by irregular menstrual cycles. For most women, early menstruation is not terrible, at least they can ensure that menstruation comes normally, and there is a reason for it.

If the menstrual period is delayed, it is very worrying. Many women may worry whether they have eaten something wrong in their daily diet, or whether they have not cleaned up in time and caused infection, or whether pregnancy or menopause has caused amenorrhea and so on. Today, I will briefly introduce several reasons for delayed menstruation to help everyone identify their own symptoms.

Pregnancy and amenorrhea

Amenorrhea is the most important and reliable sign of pregnancy, and it will also be accompanied by many other physiological phenomena. When the embryo implants, it will also cause a feeling of abdominal pain similar to menstrual cramps. This is why many people mistakenly give up testing for pregnancy because they think their period is coming. In addition, because more and more female hormones and estrogens are produced during pregnancy, it is easy for women's breasts to become loose, enlarged, and nipple pain. Unlike women's breast discomfort during menstruation, pregnancy will also cause the veins around the nipples to gradually become more obvious.

Therefore, if your menstruation is not only delayed but also accompanied by the above symptoms, you should take a pregnancy test as soon as possible. It should be noted that mild bleeding may occur in the early stages of pregnancy. This is because the sperm and egg combine to bury themselves in the uterine wall when the embryo implants. Do not mistake this for the onset of menstruation and give up on taking a pregnancy test.

Menopause in women

In addition to pregnancy, amenorrhea is one of the first symptoms of menopause in women. This phenomenon is usually manifested as the normal regular menstrual period suddenly becoming extremely irregular, or suddenly no drop, or endless, intermittent change for several months, and finally gradually decrease until menopause. Therefore, for menopausal women, in order to successfully pass this stage, they still need sufficient psychological preparation, otherwise it is easy to cause psychological problems such as excessive anxiety or depression, and even aggravate other menopausal symptoms.

Endocrine imbalance

Endocrine imbalance is not common in our daily life. The so-called endocrine imbalance is essentially an obstruction in the metabolism or transportation of various hormones in our body, and women's menstrual period is greatly affected by the body's estrogen metabolism level. Estrogen does not exist alone in our body, but is affected by many other growth hormones.

Significant damage to daily diet and living environment, excessive mental stress, excessive exercise, excessive weight loss, and taking certain drugs can all cause other hormone metabolism disorders in the body, thereby affecting women's estrogen levels. This phenomenon is particularly common in adolescent women who are in the growth and development stage. Therefore, this is also the reason why the menstruation of adolescent women is relatively irregular, but becomes more regular as they age.
