Is there hope for a 56-day pregnancy with no fetal heartbeat?

Is there hope for a 56-day pregnancy with no fetal heartbeat?

Pregnant women can be diagnosed through B-ultrasound examination at around seven weeks of pregnancy. At this time, there are not only fetal buds but also fetal heartbeats. The normal fluctuation of the fetal heartbeat is an important indicator of whether the fetus is developing normally. If there is no fetal heartbeat fluctuation, there is basically no hope, which means that the fetal bud has stopped developing. You should go to the hospital for treatment in time. Patients should also have a good attitude, pay attention to rest, and avoid overwork.

What happens if there is no fetal heartbeat? If it is difficult to detect the fetal heartbeat, there are only two possibilities. One is that the child is healthy, but the detection time or method is wrong. The other is that there is a problem with the child during its development. Next, I will explain it in detail:

1. It’s too early to test

Some pregnant women rush to get a check-up before the 12th week of pregnancy. It is not surprising that the fetal heart rate is difficult to detect at this time because it is still early. Doctors will generally recommend that you come back for a check-up in half a month. At this time, there is no need to worry too much. You should adjust your mindset, follow the doctor's instructions, wait patiently, or try another hospital for testing.

Some expectant mothers do grasp the correct time point, but still cannot be detected. This is because their menstrual cycle is often more than 28 days, but they have not told the doctor, causing the doctor to calculate their pregnancy weeks more than the actual time. Naturally, the baby has not grown to the extent that the heartbeat can be tracked.

2. Reasons of the expectant mother herself

Some women fail to take responsibility for themselves and their children during pregnancy and are exposed to drugs, tobacco, alcohol, or take medications that interfere with the development of their children, or their bodies are exposed to large amounts of radiation. Some are due to physical abnormalities, such as soaring blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, shock caused by poisoning, etc.

3. Fetal factors

If there is insufficient oxygen in the placenta, the fetus will have difficulty surviving and the heart will beat more abnormally. The main reasons include umbilical cord lesions, viral infections, slow development of deformed babies, chromosomal mutations, placenta previa, etc.

If the doctor finds that the fetal heart rate has stopped, he or she will generally be advised to give up the pregnancy. An unhealthy embryo cannot produce a high-quality baby, and if the mother persists in the pregnancy, there is a high possibility of giving birth to a deformed baby.
