How long does it take for the sweating to stop after a normal birth?

For pregnant women, they should try to choose natural childbirth, which is beneficial to both the woman herself and the fetus. It is understood that children born naturally have better physical fitness and are more resistant than those born by caesarean section. Women will recover quickly after a normal birth, but they will sweat after a normal birth. This is a normal physiological phenomenon, but how long will it take for the sweating to stop after a normal birth? This question also depends on the mother's own physical condition.

1. How long will it take for sweating to stop after a normal birth?

First, a small amount of sweating within 1 to 3 days after delivery is called puerperal sweat, which is a normal phenomenon. This situation will gradually improve or disappear in a few days at most or half a month at most.

Second, postpartum sweating is a common phenomenon. It is a manifestation of the body's internal physiological regulation and is related to postpartum metabolic activities. During pregnancy, blood volume increases and blood is diluted. After delivery, metabolism and endocrine activities are significantly reduced. The body's circulating blood volume needs to be reduced, so excess water is removed from the body through sweat, urine, and breathing.

Third, generally after about a week of the body's own adjustment, the excessive sweating will gradually ease until it returns to normal. If you sweat excessively for a long time, sweat even when you are not active, or the condition worsens after activity, then it is abnormal postpartum sweating, which is mostly caused by Qi and Yin deficiency in the mother and requires tonic and conditioning.

2. What to eat after a normal birth

First, foods rich in tryptophan. Tryptophan is an early form of serotonin, a neurotransmitter responsible for controlling sleep patterns, appetite and mood, among other things. People who are deficient in tryptophan may experience sleep disturbances or insomnia. The food with the highest tryptophan content is pinto beans, followed by dried milk, pumpkin seeds, bean curd, eggs, soybeans, black beans, seaweed, black sesame, sunflower seeds, walnuts, longan, bananas, figs, dates, longan, grapefruit, apples, and pears.

Second, foods rich in calcium. Common problems caused by calcium deficiency that affect sleep include dreaming and poor sleep. If new mothers do not get enough calcium, they are very likely to experience symptoms such as insomnia and muscle aches. Foods rich in calcium include milk, sesame, beans, etc. You can get some sun exposure at ordinary times, which can also promote the body's absorption of calcium.
