Where is the cervical pain?

Most women will experience cervical pain in their lives, and there are many causes of this pain. However, many women are unable to find the specific pain point and always tell others that they have a stomachache. This is not surprising. After all, we are not professional doctors and do not know much about the human body. So the question is, where does cervical pain occur?

1. Cervical pain caused by cervicitis

Cervicitis is one of the more common gynecological diseases in our daily life. It is a gynecological inflammation caused by lesions in the cervix. The cervix is a very important reproductive organ for women. Once a woman suffers from this disease, it will seriously affect her fertility. Cervicitis is a common symptom of pain. Patients often experience pain in the lower abdomen or lumbosacral region, and sometimes pain may occur in the upper abdomen, thighs, and hip joints.

Cervical pain caused by cervicitis will worsen during a woman's menstrual period or bowel movement. In severe cases, it will affect the quality of sexual life. If the inflammation extends to the uterosacral ligament or spreads along the sacral part of the broad ligament, chronic parametritis will form. The pain will be more severe when the main ligament of the cervix thickens. Whenever the cervix is touched, it immediately causes pain in the iliac fossa and lumbosacral region. Some patients may even experience nausea, affecting their normal life.

2. Cervical pain caused by cervical cancer

This type of pain caused by cervical cancer is mainly caused by the cancer compressing the pelvic nerves. If other sites are affected, such as the obturator nerve, sacral nerves, great blood vessels, or pelvic wall, severe pain may occur, sometimes radiating to the lower extremities. As the tumor grows, it becomes infected and necrotic, which increases the amount of secretions and causes infection and pain in the female private parts. During the treatment of patients with mid- to late-stage cervical cancer, high fever often persists. Excessive blood loss can lead to severe anemia and the absorption of necrotic tissue or combined infection, causing fever, which will make the patient feel very sore in all the joints of the body.

Cervical pain must not be ignored. Perhaps your momentary negligence has led to irreparable damage. Hereby solemnly remind all female friends to pay attention to their own health. Women should wear breathable and loose cotton underwear, eat more vegetables and fruits, pay attention to daily hygiene, participate in more outdoor sports, and improve their own resistance.
