How to take care of the baby in the most scientific way after a normal birth

The fetus stays in the pregnant woman's belly for ten months. The pregnant woman works hard to carry the baby. When the baby is born, its body is not fully developed and is in the process of development. At this time, the mother should increase the intake of various nutrients to help the baby develop better. After a normal delivery, the mother should pay attention to the confinement period to avoid the root of the disease that is difficult to recover. What is the most scientific way to do the confinement period after a normal delivery? Let’s take a look at it next.

1. The environment should be clean and comfortable

The room should be cleaned and the bedding washed before the mother returns home. The beds for the mother and baby should be placed in a quiet place with few people walking around. The room should be warm in winter and cool in summer, with good ventilation to keep the air fresh. It is best to have a sit-down toilet in the bathroom.

2. Get enough rest

Because childbirth consumes a lot of physical strength and energy, the mother should take the time to rest after the baby is delivered. She must get 8-9 hours of sleep a day. This can not only promote the repositioning of the uterus, but also increase appetite and promote milk secretion.

3. Wear appropriate clothing and keep your body clean

Postpartum women often sweat a lot, so their clothes should be soft and loose, and it is best to wear cotton clothes. At the same time, they should be changed and washed frequently, especially underwear.

After giving birth, mothers eat a lot of high-protein, high-sugar food. If they do not brush their teeth after eating, it will cause great irritation to the teeth and oral mucosa, easily causing periodontitis, gingivitis and multiple caries. Therefore, starting from the second day after delivery, you should brush your teeth after meals. At the same time, you should comb your hair frequently during the confinement period. On the one hand, combing your hair can remove dust and dirt from the hair, making the hair clean and hygienic. On the other hand, combing your hair can stimulate the scalp, make people feel happy, and promote local blood circulation to meet the nutrients needed for hair growth, prevent hair loss, premature graying, breakage and split ends, etc.

Postpartum women sweat a lot, and their lower body has lochia and overflowing milk. These odors mixed together will emit a very unpleasant odor, making the mother feel uncomfortable all over. In addition, a large number of germs will breed, causing various diseases. Therefore, if there is no wound on the perineum, you can take a shower on the third day after delivery, but it is not suitable to take a tub bath. The water temperature should be controlled at around 45 degrees, and each bath should last for 5-10 minutes. If there is a wound on the perineum or an incision on the abdomen, you must wait until the wound heals before bathing.

4. Carry out appropriate exercise early

Usually, a woman can sit up and eat 12 hours after delivery, get out of bed and move around after 24 hours, and do some light housework 10 days after delivery. Mothers should avoid squatting for long periods of time or exerting excessive force to prevent increased abdominal pressure and genital injury. When you get out of bed and move around on the first day after delivery, you must be accompanied by someone to prevent falling due to physical weakness and orthostatic hypotension, and do not stand for too long.

5. Preventing fertility-related obesity

Reproductive obesity is caused by endocrine dysfunction in the brain. It is not only harmful to the physical health of the mother, but also brings great psychological pressure to the mother.
