The structure of a woman's lower body

Both women and men have a relatively special reproductive system structure. For women, the lower body structure is mainly composed of the vagina, vaginal opening, hymen, vaginal vault, etc. The private parts of women are very easy to be infected, so in daily life, women must take good care of their vagina to avoid various types of vaginal diseases. The following is a detailed introduction to the relevant knowledge.

1. The structure of a woman's lower body

The vagina is often in a collapsed state with the anterior and posterior walls in contact. The lower part of the vagina is narrower, and the lower end opens into the vaginal vestibule at the vaginal orifice. There is a hymen around the vaginal opening of a virgin, which can be ring-shaped, crescent-shaped, umbrella-shaped or sieve-shaped. After the hymen ruptures, a hymen mark remains around the vaginal opening. The upper end of the vagina is wide, surrounding the cervix and vagina, forming a ring-shaped depression between the two, called the fornix of vagina, which can be divided into the front, back and two side parts. It is deepest at the posterior part of the vaginal vault and is closely adjacent to the rectouterine pouch, separated only by the vaginal wall and a layer of peritoneum. It has great practical significance clinically, for example, the accumulated fluid in the depression can be drained through the posterior fornix.

The vagina is adjacent to: the bladder and urethra in front, and the rectum in the back. Clinically, the condition of the rectouterine pouch, cervix and cervical os can be palpated through the rectal wall. The lower part of the vagina passes through the urogenital diaphragm. The urethrovaginal sphincter in the diaphragm and the medial muscle fiber bundles of the levator ani muscles both have a sphinctering effect on the vagina.

2. Daily care methods for vulva

Key point NO.1: [Cleaning]

Some women always think that the more they wash their vagina, the cleaner it will be. They pay great attention to the hygiene of the vulva in their daily life. They like to use lotion, wash too frequently and flush the vagina when cleaning the vulva. However, they don’t know that sometimes the reason for gynecological diseases is improper daily cleaning.

How many times should you wash your vulva? You only need to wash it once a day. You can increase the frequency during your menstrual period, but not too often.

How to clean the vulva: Use a shower when bathing, and wash with warm water. Avoid the irritation of soap and shower gel. If there is no shower condition, a special basin should be used for washing.

Vulva cleaning products: There is no need to use lotion or bath gel for daily cleaning. These cleaning products contain a certain amount of alkalinity, which will destroy the vulva's own environment, causing it to lose its original self-cleaning ability, giving bacteria an opportunity to take advantage.

Key point NO.2: [Supplies]

Women have close contact with them every month, and some even have contact with them every day. How should we choose private products? How can we use these products in a healthy way to protect the "pure land" of women's private parts?

Underwear: Women's underwear should be light-colored, loose-fitting, and made of pure cotton. Underwear must be hand washed, not machine washed or left overnight to prevent bacterial growth. It is recommended to change your underwear every three months.

Sanitary napkins: Avoid using sanitary napkins with medicines or fragrances. Change sanitary napkins frequently, every two hours, to prevent menstrual blood from becoming a "petri dish" for bacteria.

Key point NO.3: [Toilet use]

Most women are confused about whether they need to wipe their vulva with paper after urinating. In fact, if women use qualified toilet paper to wipe their vulva after urinating, it will not cause gynecological infections. If the vulva is not wiped clean after urinating, local immersion of urine may also cause diseases such as vulvitis and vulvar eczema. When wiping the vulva, you should use qualified, clean toilet paper and wipe from front to back to avoid bringing bacteria from the anus into the vagina.
