The main secretion of a woman's body is leucorrhea, which is colorless or white. If it has other colors, it means that there is a health problem. The characteristic of green vaginal discharge is very consistent with the symptoms of Trichomonas vaginitis. We can first have a comprehensive understanding of Trichomonas vaginitis and make a comprehensive judgment based on our own situation. Let’s look at Trichomonas vaginitis. Trichomonas vaginitis (1) Characteristics of increased vaginal discharge: thin, purulent, yellow-green, foamy, and smelly. (2) Location of vulvar itching: vaginal opening and vulva. (3) If combined with urinary tract infection: frequent urination, urgency, pain, and sometimes hematuria. (4) Infertility: Trichomonas vaginalis can devour sperm, hinder the production of lactic acid, and affect its survival in the vagina. (5) Examination revealed: congestion of the vaginal mucosa with scattered bleeding spots, and a large amount of "strawberry-like" leucorrhea in the posterior fornix of the cervix, which was grayish yellow, yellowish-white thin liquid or yellowish-green purulent secretions, often in a foamy state. There are no abnormal changes in the vaginal mucosa of carriers. diagnosis The diagnosis can be made immediately by suspending the vaginal secretions taken from the posterior fornix in saline and examining them under an ordinary microscope without staining. The rapid extension movement of the flagella and the sprinting activity of the ovoid protozoa were easily observed. Culture is more sensitive than direct microscopy. Trichomonas vaginitis is also often diagnosed using a Papanicolaou-stained smear. Tests should be done to rule out gonorrhea, chlamydia, and other sexually transmitted diseases. treat 1. Systemic treatment (1) Metronidazole (Flagyl): 3 times a day for adults and a reduced dose for children. The treatment course for intestinal trichomoniasis is 3 to 5 days. Trichomonas urethritis, vaginitis, and stomatitis should be treated with the medicine for 7 to 10 days. It is forbidden to use for pregnant and lactating women. (2) Tinidazole For genitourinary tract and oral infections, double the first dose, once a day, for 5 to 6 days. (3) Take trichostatin three times a day for 5 to 7 days. 2. Local treatment (1) For Trichomonas vaginitis, first scrub the vaginal wall with a soapy cotton ball, then rinse the vagina with 0.02% potassium permanganate solution or warm water, then wash with 1% lactic acid or 0.5% acetic acid and wipe dry. Choose one of divijing, carbazon or metronidazole and insert it into the posterior fornix of the vagina or spray it into the vagina once every night or every other night. One course of treatment is 7 to 10 days, and it can be used in succession for 2 to 3 courses. (2) Oral hygiene: Rinse your mouth with salt water, keep your oral cavity clean and hygienic, and avoid eating sweet foods before going to bed. |
