Do you have spotting but no pain and always have back pain?

When the due date is approaching, the baby may move at any time. Generally, it is best for pregnant mothers to rest more at home at this time and pay attention to fetal movements. If there is spotting or water breaking, you must go to the hospital in time. Most people will experience some symptoms before the baby is born. For example, some people will experience spotting but no labor pains. This usually means that delivery is imminent, and pregnant mothers need to make preparations for delivery.

How to respond to labor signs

Position 1: Lying with the upper body slightly raised

Adjust the inclination of the bed, or use pillows or cushions to slightly raise your upper body. This reclining position makes it easier to overcome pain than lying completely on your back. You can find an angle that you feel comfortable with.

Position 2: Sit astride a chair

Sitting on a chair with your legs spread out will help dilate the birth canal. At the same time, it can reduce the burden on the waist. The key is to put your body weight on the back of the chair and lean forward slightly.

Position 3: Use a tennis ball to push up your anus

When you feel the urge to defecate, place a tennis ball against the area from the anus to the perineum and then sit on it. You can also use finger pressure.

Position 4: Put your weight on the wall

Press your hands against the wall, lean forward, and put your body weight on the wall. Because it is a standing posture, it can help the fetus land.

Position 5: Lying on a chair

Kneel on the ground with your knees, raise your hips, and lie on a chair. This posture can relieve pain, and leaning forward can also relieve low back pain.

When does labor start?

After the signs of labor appear, the actual labor process does not necessarily begin immediately. It is often difficult to pinpoint when true labor begins because early labor contractions can feel like false labor at first.

However, if the contractions become longer, more intense, and more concentrated, labor has most likely begun. At the beginning, the intervals between contractions are as long as about 10 minutes. No matter what you do, they will not stop or lessen. As labor progresses, the contractions will become more painful and more frequent. However, some expectant mothers feel very little or even no signs of labor before they begin to feel strong, regular contractions. Even for the same pregnant woman, the feeling before delivery may be different each time. It can be seen that the signs before delivery vary from person to person.

What to look out for when you have signs of labor

When signs of labor appear, expectant mothers should not be too nervous. They should try to stay calm and pay attention to the timing of contractions and reactions after exercise. At the same time, when signs of delivery appear, the expectant mother should prepare for delivery with the help of her family, and go to the hospital in time to wait for delivery after confirming that it is true delivery.

1. Pay attention to the reaction after exercise: Expectant mothers should not always stay in bed during the month before delivery. They need to exercise appropriately. This will not only help with delivery, but also help to distinguish true and false signs of delivery. If it is true labor, contractions will continue as usual regardless of how you move. At this time, you should go to the hospital in time to give birth.

If any of the following occur, please go to the hospital or see a doctor immediately:

(1) Without uterine contractions, the amniotic membrane ruptures and amniotic fluid flows out.

(2) Vaginal bleeding rather than bloody mucus.

(3) The frequency and intensity of uterine contractions increase steadily and continuously.

(4) Expectant mothers can feel a decrease in fetal activity on the east coast.

2. Pay attention to the time related to uterine contractions: Once the signs of delivery appear, the expectant mother should not rush to the hospital. The real labor can be determined by uterine contractions. If there is a fixed time interval, the interval becomes smaller and smaller as time goes by, and each contraction lasts about 30 to 70 seconds, then this is a false labor; if the intensity of the contraction steadily increases, the pain starts from the back and then moves to the front, then it can be determined to be a true labor.

3. Make some preparations: Before the signs of delivery appear, the expectant mother and her family should make some preparations.

(1) Specify a time to call your doctor.

(2) Determine the mode of transportation.

(3) How long does it take to get to the hospital from home during rush hour when traffic is congested?

(4) Practice the journey and time to the hospital.

(5) Find an alternative route so that if the first route is blocked, there will be another option to reach the hospital as soon as possible.

(6) Whether household affairs have been arranged properly, whether someone has been hired to help take care of children and pets, do housework, and make arrangements for the handover of work.
