36 weeks stomach hard and tight

During the process of pregnancy, women go through different stages, and the manifestations of each stage are different. Therefore, women should be aware of these situations in the early stages of pregnancy, and know what to do after giving birth. Many women have hard and tight stomachs at 36 weeks. After 36 weeks of pregnancy, it is the late stage of pregnancy. At this time, women should pay attention to not excessive exercise. At the same time, if the stomach is very hard and tight, go to the hospital for examination in time.

In the middle and late stages of pregnancy, the reason why expectant mothers feel a hard stomach is mainly due to frequent and irregular uterine contractions, which are caused by false labor. If the expectant mother stands or sits in the same posture for a long time, she will feel her abdomen hardening from time to time. This false labor contraction is a normal phenomenon. Before delivery, that is, in the late pregnancy, false labor contractions will become more and more frequent due to the traction stimulation of the lower uterine segment caused by the descending fetal head. As long as it's not accompanied by pain, there's no need to worry.

Expectant mothers do not need to be too nervous if their stomach becomes hard. In fact, false labor can help the cervix soften and thin, which helps shorten the time it takes for the cervix to open during delivery. This is a normal physiological phenomenon. However, if there are 4-6 consecutive uterine contractions in a short period of time, accompanied by abdominal pain and other symptoms, or even abdominal prolapse and abnormal fetal movement, you should be alert, as this may be a sign of threatened miscarriage.

As for the popular saying: "A hard belly means a girl" because a girl and her mother are facing each other, when the fetus moves, its buttocks will push up the mother's belly, forming a big, hard bulge. In fact, there is no basis for this statement. A hard belly has nothing to do with whether you are pregnant with a boy or a girl.

When expectant mothers have a hard and uncomfortable stomach, they can use the following methods to relieve it appropriately:

1. Pay attention to the number of false labor contractions;

2. Observe whether there is strong abdominal pain and abdominal prolapse. If there is abdominal pain and it is regular, it may be a threatened abortion and you should seek medical attention in time.

3. Pay more attention to fetal movement in late pregnancy;

4. Pay attention to your daily diet and ensure balanced nutritional intake;

5. Pay attention to the combination of work and rest, and get more rest;

6. Try drinking a few glasses of warm water. Dehydration may cause false labor.
