What are the symptoms of uterine relaxation?

The uterus is an organ unique to women and plays an important role, but many women suffer from uterine relaxation, which is a relatively common disease with a relatively high incidence rate. When a woman suffers from uterine relaxation, she does not need to be too nervous. She should go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible and receive effective treatment under the guidance of a doctor. There are many reasons for uterine relaxation, so she should protect her uterus in her life.

1. What are the symptoms of uterine relaxation?

There is a history of recurrent miscarriages in the second trimester of pregnancy. There are no warning signs of miscarriage, and the fetus and the amniotic membrane and amniotic fluid wrapped around it are expelled from the vagina all at once. When not pregnant, a 0.8 cm thick cervical dilator can pass through the cervical canal into the uterine cavity without any resistance, and there are special manifestations during hysterosalpingography and B-ultrasound. Due to the wideness of the cervical opening, the closing effect is mainly revealed when the contents of the uterus increase after pregnancy. Therefore, there are usually no symptoms and it is often discovered after multiple consecutive miscarriages.

2. Causes of relaxation of the internal cervical os

The causes of cervical relaxation can be divided into two categories: congenital and acquired. Congenital cervical relaxation is caused by the mother taking certain drugs during pregnancy or other reasons that lead to incomplete development of the female uterus; acquired cervical relaxation is caused by birth trauma, too many curettages or frequent perineal examinations. A short cervix may also be one of the causes of cervical relaxation. There are reports that when the cervix is shown to be shorter during ultrasound examination, the chances of miscarriage or premature birth are greatly increased. But it is possible to get through the pregnancy safely and give birth successfully. Moreover, the length of the cervix is affected by many factors, such as the ratio of cervical muscle and fiber. During pregnancy, as the uterus grows and stretches into the abdominal cavity, the cervix may also become shorter.
