What are the symptoms of induced labor infection

Induced labor is a way to end pregnancy. It is usually used when there are some problems with the pregnant woman or the fetus. It is a method that is forced to be used. Induced labor can cause great harm to the female body. After the induced labor operation, the female body will be weaker and she should pay more attention to rest and conditioning. If symptoms of induced abortion infection occur, go to the hospital for treatment in time.

What are the symptoms of induced labor infection

First:

There are local burning, pain, and dripping. Purulent secretions irritate the urethra, causing urinary pain, frequent urination, and wound infection. The sutures sink into the swollen tissue and pus oozes from the suture holes.

second:

Infection with endometritis and myometritis: Mild symptoms include low fever, increased lochia with a foul odor, and pain and tenderness in the lower abdomen. Severe cases include high fever, headache, chills, and lower abdominal tenderness of varying severity.

third:

Infection with pelvic inflammatory disease and salpingitis: abscesses in the fallopian tube and pelvic and abdominal cavity, and persistent high fever. Infection with pelvic inflammatory disease and peritonitis: high fever, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, obvious abdominal tenderness, rebound tenderness, diarrhea, tenesmus and difficulty urinating. If not treated in time, it will develop into chronic pelvic inflammatory disease and lead to infertility.

Precautions after induction of labor

1. You need to stay in the hospital for 3-5 days after the induced abortion surgery, pay attention to the contraction of the uterus, and prevent heavy bleeding. Because induced abortion surgery is very traumatic to the body, you need to rest for at least two weeks after the surgery. It is not advisable to sit or stand for a long time, let alone do high-intensity work. Try to rest in bed as much as possible.

2. Because induced abortion surgery causes a lot of bleeding, you should pay attention to increasing nutrition after the surgery. Avoid eating raw, cold, spicy and irritating foods. Eat more foods that replenish qi and blood and clear blood stasis. For example: red dates, lotus root, eggs, milk, chicken, fish, animal liver, soy products, millet porridge, brown sugar water, fresh vegetables and fruits, etc., foods rich in protein and vitamins, nutritious and digestive.

3. After the operation, you need to wear loose clothes on your lower body, keep your lower body clean within one month, and rinse the vulva with clean water in the morning and evening. If lochia is discharged, you can use toilet paper specially for women and babies to pad your underwear. Try not to use sanitary pads as toilet paper is more breathable than sanitary pads. Change and wash your underwear frequently, scald the underwear you take off with hot water, and expose it to the sun to disinfect it. You can take a hot shower 3 days after the operation, but you cannot take a sitz bath. However, you should close the doors and windows and keep the room temperature low.

4. Do not have sex before the next menstruation after the operation. The couple should do a good job of cleaning beforehand and take contraceptive measures afterwards. If pregnancy is required, it will take more than half a year. Otherwise it will cause great harm to the body. Women must take care of their bodies.

5. For postoperative health care, the first thing to do is to keep warm and the room temperature should not be too low. If it is summer, don't let the air conditioner or fan blow towards you. Keep your feet, abdomen and head warm. Soak your feet in hot water every night and apply a hot water bottle to your abdomen. You can do some appropriate exercises three days after the operation to help the discharge of lochia and the recovery of the uterus.
