What is the cause of scrotal peeling?

If a man has symptoms of scrotal peeling, it may be caused by a fungal infection, which is medically called tinea cruris. It refers to a skin disease caused by fungal infection in the perineum, buttocks, and inner thighs. This fungal infection can be transmitted through underwear, daily necessities, and can also be transmitted to the other party through sexual intercourse. It is a relatively common fungal infection. In addition, if there are cats and dogs at home, it is also easy to spread this disease. When tinea cruris occurs, it is necessary to take medication for treatment in time. This disease is also relatively stubborn and prone to recurrence, especially when the body's immunity is relatively poor. The disease is more serious and seriously affects daily life and work.

Tinea cruris medication treatment

Tinea cruris is a relatively stubborn disease that is very prone to recurrence and is sensitive to many drugs, but it can still recur within a certain period of time after the end of treatment. Generally, external treatment is the main approach and internal treatment is not necessary; however, for stubborn or widespread cases, internal treatment can be added. Drugs commonly used to treat tinea cruris:

(1) Compound resorcinol solution is an in-house preparation of the hospital. It has low irritation and rapid effect. It can be applied externally 1 to 2 times a day for 10 consecutive days to achieve clinical cure.

(2) Compound Daktarin, produced by Xi'an Janssen Pharmaceutical Factory, has a fast-acting effect and good antipruritic effect.

(3) 1% clotrimazole, clotrimazole cream, 1% econazole cream, etc. I recommend clotrimazole.

The skin of the penis is thin and tender, so do not use overly irritating drugs during treatment. If the disease does not heal after a long period of treatment, or if the area is large and the disease is widespread, you can take 200 mg of Sporanox orally once a day for 5 consecutive days.

Clinically, Chinese herbal medicine washing is one of the effective methods for treating tinea cruris. It works quickly, relieves itching well, and is not prone to recurrence after being cured. Experiments have confirmed that Chinese medicines such as Phellodendron chinense, Atractylodes lancea, Stemona japonica, Aucklandia lappa, Tuqin bark, Artemisia argyi, Zanthoxylum bungeanum, Kochia scoparia, Sophora flavescens, Rheum officinale, and Magnolia officinalis all have good antifungal effects. 60g of Aucklandia lappa, 30g of Stemona bulbs, 10g of Sophora flavescens, 30g of Kochia scoparia, 10g of Phellodendron amurense, 10g of Artemisia argyi, and 6g of Sichuan pepper. Boil the water and wash the affected area with it when it is warm. Do this once a day for 20 minutes each time. The effect will be immediate.

Preventing Tinea Cruris

(1) Maintain self-discipline and refrain from engaging in improper sexual relations with others. Do not use other people's underwear, underwear and toiletries.

(2) Change your underwear frequently, keep your vulva clean, and wash and dry your clothes and quilts frequently.

(3) Reduce sweating and promote evaporation at the base of the thigh. Try to stay dry and wear loose fitting underwear.

(4) If you suffer from onychomycosis, tinea manuum, or tinea corporis, you should actively seek treatment to prevent the disease from being transmitted to the pubic area through your hands.
