How to check cervical adhesions

How to check cervical adhesions

The uterus is an important organ for women. If there is a problem with the uterus, it means that there may be a problem with the body. Many women are often told that they have cervical adhesions during the examination process. This situation is only told after the examination, so most patients are detected with such conditions during the process of hysteroscopy, hysteroscopy, and uterine probe examination. Usually, patients need to make a reasonable diagnosis based on ultrasound and hormone tests. Some patients also need uterine angiography to determine the presence of adhesions in the uterine cavity at the first time. Severe cases may also cause fluid accumulation. Women should pay attention to their bodies at ordinary times. If there are changes in the menstrual cycle, they must go to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible.

What are the examination methods for diagnosing cervical adhesions?

Hysteroscopy. This is a method for diagnosing and treating uterine cavity adhesions that has gradually begun to be tried in recent years.

Hysteroscopy. Through interventional hysteroscopy, the location, range, severity and tissue type of adhesions are determined. Muscle fiber adhesions are more common. The advantage of hysteroscopy is that it can directly check the location, nature and severity of the disease. This examination can determine whether there is intrauterine adhesion and determine the location, range, degree and tissue of the adhesion, but it is expensive and the operation is complicated.

Uterine sound examination. Generally, when the uterine probe is inserted into the cervix about 13 cm, there will be a sense of resistance, and it is most common to feel resistance at around 2 cm. In patients with severe adhesions, the uterine cavity may feel like a narrow tube, and the probe has a very small range of motion or cannot be inserted at all. When the probe is difficult to insert, do not apply force blindly to avoid uterine perforation. So, why do women suffer from intrauterine adhesions?

Ultrasonography. Generally speaking, if ultrasound examination shows uneven echo at the edge of the endometrium, it can often be considered as cervical adhesion.

Hormone therapy trial. Patients who have been treated with estrogen, progesterone or artificial cycles and have no recurrent bleeding for three cycles should pay attention.

Hysterography: Through contrast examination, the adhesion in the uterine cavity can be checked, which is an effect that other examinations cannot achieve. Generally, in order to prevent chronic inflammation caused by oil plugs and oil agents, water-soluble contrast agents can also be used. However, contrast examination has a certain degree of blindness, and there are relatively more things to pay attention to.

Normally, women should also pay attention to abnormal changes in their bodies. Once they experience scanty menstruation, amenorrhea, or cyclical abdominal pain, such as sudden lower abdominal pain one month after an abortion or curettage, a feeling of heaviness in the anus, restlessness, or inability to get pregnant for a long time, they must pay attention to it.

The above is about the inspection methods for diseases. When dealing with these, we must choose good treatment methods, and at the same time, we must have a comprehensive understanding and go to a regular hospital for treatment in time.
