What to do if you have back pain during menstruation

What to do if you have back pain during menstruation

Many girls want to become boys because boys do not need menstruation and do not need to endure abdominal pain every month. Many girls often experience abdominal pain, back pain, and leg pain during their menstruation every month. They cannot touch any cold food or eat iced food in the refrigerator because these foods will make dysmenorrhea more severe. For patients with a history of dysmenorrhea, they will also have lower back pain during menstruation. At this time, you should be careful not to eat sweet chocolate or any food with sugar. Drink more hot soup and hot water to promote blood circulation in the uterus and speed up blood circulation in the pelvis. Slowly, the symptoms of lower back pain will be relieved.

Women with a history of dysmenorrhea should be careful about eating the following three types of food:

1. Avoid eating irritating foods

For some patients, dysmenorrhea is caused by accumulation of damp heat in the uterus. If such patients eat spicy or hot foods, it will aggravate pelvic congestion and inflammation, or cause excessive contraction of the uterine muscles, thereby aggravating dysmenorrhea. Spicy and hot foods include chili peppers, pepper, garlic, onions, ginger, leeks, tobacco, strong liquor and spicy condiments. Patients with dysmenorrhea should try to eat less or no spicy foods.

2. Avoid eating raw, cold and cool foods

If women like to eat cold and raw foods during normal times or menstruation, their blood will become cold and stagnant, which will cause blood circulation obstruction, pain, and dysmenorrhea. Eating too much of such foods can easily damage the spleen yang, prevent the cold and dampness from being transformed, damage the lower part of the body, and stay in the uterus, causing blood to become cold and stagnant, leading to dysmenorrhea. Therefore, people with weak Qi and Yang, or women during or before and after menstruation, should avoid eating raw, cold or cool foods.

Such foods include: all kinds of cold drinks, various frozen drinks, chilled wine, raw cold dishes, crabs, snails, clam meat, leeches, pears, persimmons, watermelons, cucumbers, water chestnuts, grapefruits, oranges, etc.

3. Avoid sour and astringent foods

Acidic foods are sour and cold in nature, and have astringent effects, causing blood vessels to contract and blood to stagnate, which is not conducive to the smooth flow and discharge of menstrual blood. Therefore, people with dysmenorrhea should avoid eating such foods. Acidic foods include rice vinegar, spicy and sour vegetables, pickles, pomegranates, green plums, bayberries, strawberries, star fruits, cherries, sour dates, mangoes, apricots, plums, lemons, etc.
