When doing surgery for cervical erosion, you need to know these taboos

Cervical erosion surgery is a very common surgery in today's society. It is often performed when drug treatment and physical therapy are ineffective. However, surgery for cervical erosion is related to women's physical health and must be taken seriously. After the surgery, women should not do physical work, have sexual intercourse for one month, or take a bath in a tub. They all need to rest.

1. Surgery for cervical erosion

1. When cervical erosion requires surgery, it is because physical therapy and drug treatment are ineffective, and the patient has cervical hypertrophy, the erosion is deep and wide, and the cervical canal is involved. At this time, surgery can be performed to remove the uterus. However, surgical treatments are less common nowadays, after all, the consequence of surgery is that the patient becomes infertile.

2. Generally, moderate and severe cervical erosion can be treated with physical therapy, such as electric ironing, laser therapy, cryotherapy, etc. However, physical therapy has relatively large side effects. The sensitivity of the nerves in the vaginal wall may be reduced, thus affecting the quality of sexual life. Another disadvantage is the high risk of recurrence.

3. Physical therapy has significant side effects, so many infertile women refuse physical therapy. Female patients who have not given birth can consider whether to undergo physical therapy based on the severity of cervical erosion. If the physical therapy does not affect the cervical canal, there is no need to worry too much. Regular check-ups are necessary, and medication can be chosen for treatment first.

2. Precautions after cervical erosion surgery

1. Some patients may experience a slight feeling of falling, which will improve the next day.

2. Keep the vulva clean and change underwear and sanitary napkins frequently.

3. Pay attention to proper rest and avoid doing heavy physical work. Eat less spicy food.

4. After the operation, regular check-ups should be conducted according to the doctor's instructions based on the recovery status.

5. One week after the operation, there will be a small amount of light yellow hydrophilic secretions in the vagina, which will decrease after the second week and improve after half a month.

6. If there is a small amount of bleeding about 7-14 days after treatment, no treatment is needed. If the amount of bleeding is like menstrual flow and the color is bright red, you should go to the hospital in time to stop the bleeding.

7. No sexual intercourse for one month and no bathing in a tub.

8. Have regular gynecological examinations to detect cervical inflammation and treat it in time.

9. Take timely and effective contraceptive measures after cervical erosion surgery to reduce the incidence of induced abortion and the chance of artificial trauma and bacterial infection.
