How to treat kidney yin deficiency and uterine coldness?

If women find themselves suffering from dysmenorrhea accompanied by abnormal leucorrhea, it is mostly caused by uterine cold. Uterine cold has a huge impact on women's bodies. Common female symptoms such as fear of cold, fatigue, poor appetite, irregular menstruation, poor complexion, and acne are all caused by uterine cold. However, most people do not take these symptoms seriously, which leads to them becoming more and more serious. So how should women with kidney yin deficiency and uterine cold be treated?

(1) Physical characteristics.

The body is plump or the complexion is pale and dull, usually afraid of cold and likes warmth, fatigue in the limbs, clear and long urine, watery stool, pale lips and mild mouth, frequent spontaneous sweating, deep and weak pulse, and pale and plump tongue. Such a person is prone to illness caused by cold, and may be afraid of cold and curled up, with cold limbs, or have persistent abdominal pain, and likes warmth and pressure; or edema of the body and face, and difficulty urinating; or cold pain in the waist and spine, and diarrhea; or impotence and spermatorrhea, and infertility due to cold uterus; or sharp pain in the chest and back, cough, asthma, and palpitations; or frequent urination at night, and urinary incontinence.

(2) Principles of health preservation.

Dispel yang and eliminate cold, warm and nourish the spleen and kidneys, because the key to those with yang deficiency is to nourish yang. Among the five internal organs, the kidney is the root of the body's yang energy, and the spleen is the source of the production and transformation of yang energy, so we should focus on nourishing it.

(3) Health preservation methods.

Mental care: The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine says: "If the liver qi is weak, there will be fear," which means that people with poor liver function are prone to fear. It also points out: "If the heart qi is weak, there will be sadness," which means that people with low heart function are prone to sadness. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that yang deficiency is a further development of qi deficiency. Therefore, people with insufficient yang often show bad moods and are easily sad. Therefore, they must strengthen their mental care, be good at regulating their emotions, get rid of worries and sadness, prevent panic, and control joy and anger, and eliminate the influence of negative emotions.

Environmental adjustment: People with this constitution are mostly cold in limbs, like warmth and fear cold, can tolerate spring and summer but not autumn and winter. Therefore, people with yang deficiency constitution should pay special attention to environmental adjustment to improve the body's resistance. Some people point out that if you take 20 to 30 sunbaths in the summer, each time for 15 to 20 minutes, the ultraviolet rays obtained will be enough to last for a year. For the elderly and infirm, do not sleep outdoors in the summer, do not expose yourself to electric fans, and do not stay under the shade of trees for too long.

Strengthen physical exercise: because "movement generates yang", do it 1 to 2 times a day in spring, summer, autumn and winter, and the specific activities depend on your physical strength.

Diet adjustment: Eat more foods that have aphrodisiac effects, such as mutton, dog meat, venison, and chicken. According to the principle of "nourishing yang in spring and summer", you can eat mutton and aconite soup once during the three hottest days of summer, in conjunction with the time when the yang of heaven and earth is strong, to strengthen the yang of the human body.

Drug treatment: For those with heart yang deficiency, Guizhi Jia Fuzi Decoction is suitable; for those with spleen yang deficiency, Lizhong Decoction is suitable; for those with kidney yang deficiency, Jinbian Shenqi Pills is suitable. As for people with yang deficiency constitution, it refers to a physical state in which the body's yang is insufficient and the metabolic calories are insufficient. They are suitable for eating medicinal foods such as epimedium, leek, eucommia, deer antler, dodder seed, walnut, mutton, shrimp, etc. However, these foods are mostly warm in nature, so they should be avoided for patients with yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire syndrome, fever, etc.
