When low back pain occurs, pay attention to keeping warm in time. You can take some physical methods for treatment, such as massage and hot compress, which can promote blood circulation.

Most cases of postpartum back pain are a continuation of the back pain during pregnancy. As the fetus develops during pregnancy, the lumbar lordosis gradually increases, and the force on the posterior waist is greatly increased, causing pregnancy low back pain. If the body shape is not restored in time after delivery, it is easy to continue into postpartum low back pain. Incorrect breastfeeding posture and excessive fatigue after childbirth can also lead to postpartum back pain.

These are all considered postural low back pain in medicine, that is, low back pain caused by unreasonable posture, so the treatment of postpartum low back pain should focus on correcting posture. After delivery, avoid bending over frequently or standing or squatting for long periods of time. Use long-handled tools when cleaning the floor of the room, and do not clean for too long each time, especially within 3 months after delivery.

Correct your bad posture and habits in time, and avoid lowering your head for long periods of time to breastfeed. During the process of feeding your baby, you can intermittently tilt your head back and circle your neck. After feeding, you can do waist circles in bed to stretch your limbs and relax your body. Maintain correct posture at ordinary times, and pay attention to the posture of standing, sitting and lying. At the same time, abide by the principle of "if you can stand, don't sit; if you can sit, don't lie down", because sitting and lying are these two postures that are difficult to support the injured spine straight and correctly.

Pay attention to protecting your waist in daily life, get enough sleep after delivery, change your bed position frequently, avoid lifting heavy or high objects, do not run or walk long distances too early; move your waist frequently to stretch your waist muscles. If you feel discomfort in your waist, you can massage, apply hot compress to the painful area or take a hot bath to promote blood circulation and improve the discomfort in your waist; pay attention to keeping your waist warm at ordinary times. If you suffer from postpartum back pain, you can treat it yourself for mild cases, while severe cases can be treated with massage, acupuncture, physical therapy and external application of medicines. Oral anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs should be taken with caution, because some drugs can enter the baby's body through breast milk, posing a potential threat to the baby's health.
