What to do with postpartum urinary incontinence

What to do with postpartum urinary incontinence

Research has found that women who give birth naturally are prone to urinary incontinence. If it causes urinary incontinence, they should receive timely and effective treatment. If the condition is serious and it is severe urinary incontinence, it can be treated surgically. After giving birth, they also need to take care of themselves in their daily lives, such as doing some aerobics exercises to train their urinary muscle capacity, etc.

Many female friends find it difficult to talk about urinary incontinence, so they avoid seeing a doctor. This is wrong. Degree 1 and 2 urinary incontinence are mild urinary incontinence, which is also the most common clinical situation. It is also relatively easy to treat, as long as you increase pelvic muscle exercises appropriately; degree 3 urinary incontinence is moderate urinary incontinence.

If mild urinary incontinence is not treated in time, it may develop into moderate urinary incontinence. Moderate urinary incontinence generally requires appropriate drug treatment to be effective. Grade 4 urinary incontinence is severe urinary incontinence, and the symptoms are quite serious, but it is not common in practice. If this happens, surgical treatment is often required.

Although postpartum urinary incontinence occurs after delivery, its prevention work mainly starts before delivery. Expectant mothers must do the following: First, they should strengthen exercise during pregnancy and urinate on time, which will help exercise the muscles responsible for urination; second, they should learn correct delivery techniques.

During childbirth, you must wait until the cervix is fully dilated before exerting force; third, if the perineum is torn or injured during childbirth, it must be treated in time and cooperate with the doctor to repair it; fourth, avoid strenuous exercise too early after delivery. In order to restore their figure as soon as possible, some women start doing bodybuilding exercises three to five days after delivery. This is actually very likely to cause postpartum urinary incontinence, so everyone must pay attention to this.
