What is uterine prolapse?

Uterine prolapse is a relatively common gynecological disease, and many women are prone to this condition after giving birth. There are several causes of uterine prolapse, such as too many births, malnutrition, overwork, etc. Uterine prolapse can cause obvious discomfort, such as lower back pain and so on.

1. What is uterine prolapse

Uterine prolapse is when the uterus descends from its normal position along the vagina and even falls out of the vaginal opening. Uterine prolapse is rarely found nowadays, but prevention should still be strengthened to further reduce the occurrence of the disease.

2. Causes of postpartum uterine prolapse

1. The causes of postpartum uterine prolapse include premature delivery, that is, less than 3 hours from regular uterine contractions to fetal delivery. Because the pelvic floor tissue and vaginal muscles have not had time to undergo gradual expansion, they are compressed and torn by the sudden and powerful fetal head, and are not repaired in time, the pelvic floor support tissue fails to return to normal after delivery.

2. Prolonged labor: Because the fetal head presses the vagina and pelvic floor tissues for too long, the tissues are ischemic and damaged, and the pelvic floor tissues lose support, which will cause uterine prolapse.

3. In addition, the causes of postpartum uterine prolapse include postpartum constipation, postpartum coughing, continuous squatting movements, getting out of bed to work too early and too heavily after delivery, which increase abdominal pressure and cause uterine prolapse.
