What are the symptoms of vaginal infection

In daily life, women may suffer from vaginal infection for some reason, which often induces various gynecological diseases, such as candidal vaginitis, cervicitis, cervical erosion, etc., which is very harmful to women's health. The symptoms of various vaginal infections have similarities and differences. Knowing these symptoms in time will help better treatment and prevention.

1. Fungal vaginitis

Symptoms: vulvar itching, vulvar and vaginal burning pain, increased leucorrhea with a bean curd-like appearance, sometimes accompanied by frequent urination, urgency, dysuria, and dysuria during intercourse. During gynecological examination, white membranes can be seen on the inner side of the labia minora and the vaginal mucosa, which can be wiped off to reveal the red and swollen mucosa. During the acute stage, damaged labia minora or superficial ulcers can be seen.

2. Cervical erosion

Symptoms: caused by chronic cervicitis, heavy vaginal discharge, yellow pus-like or yellowish color, distension of waist and abdomen or vaginal itching, loss of appetite, fatigue, pale complexion. According to the size of the erosion area, it can be divided into mild, moderate and severe types.

3. Nonspecific vaginitis

Symptoms: A feeling of falling and burning in the vagina, accompanied by pelvic discomfort and general fatigue. Vaginal discharge increases and becomes purulent, serous, and has a foul odor. Because the secretions irritate the urethra, it can cause frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating.

4. Senile vaginitis

Symptoms: Increased vaginal discharge, yellow in color, watery, purulent in severe cases, with a foul odor, sometimes bloody or with spotting, itching or burning sensation in the vulva, dry pain, lower abdominal distension, frequent urination, urgency, and pain when the urethra is affected

5. Bacterial vaginosis

Symptoms: Increased leucorrhea, which is grayish white, thin and foamy. Vaginal mucosal congestion, scattered bleeding spots, vulvar itching and burning sensation, foul odor

In addition, the most important point in preventing and treating vaginitis is to keep the vulva clean and dry, maintain good personal hygiene habits, and wash the vulva every day, but avoid using alkaline soaps. Choose loose and comfortable cotton underwear. People who already suffer from vaginitis should also avoid wearing pants that are not breathable and have tight crotch. If the odor from the vagina is strong, you should use medicated sanitary pads that can treat vaginitis, but you should also change them frequently. Do not share bath towels with others in any place. Bath towels and underwear should be washed frequently, and then dried in the sun to sterilize them after washing by hand.
