When it comes to the treatment of cervical cancer, you must find the right method. Don't think that it is a difficult disease to treat and then use some folk remedies to treat it. The success rate of treatment for cervical cancer detected in the early stages is very high, so as long as you face the treatment positively and follow the doctor's instructions, you will recover quickly. There are no uniform regulations for the treatment of cervical cancer. For different conditions and personal constitutions, you should choose a treatment method that suits you. The key is to listen to the doctor's advice and actively receive treatment. Of course, family support is also crucial to treatment. The principle of cervical cancer treatment is to improve both the patient's survival rate and their quality of life. The trend of treatment is to adopt comprehensive treatment with multiple means. The treatment of cervical cancer mainly includes surgery, radiotherapy, or surgery and radiotherapy, supplemented by chemotherapy. The main treatment for early-stage patients is surgery, while the main treatment for middle- and late-stage patients is radiotherapy. Radiotherapy can also be used for early-stage patients who are not suitable for surgery. In recent years, chemotherapy has been used as an adjuvant treatment for surgery or radiotherapy both at home and abroad, and has achieved certain results. In principle, surgical treatment is limited to early-stage patients, i.e., patients with carcinoma in situ, stage I and stage IIA. For patients above stage IIA, surgical treatment is not effective and radiotherapy should be the first choice. The scope of surgery is determined according to specific circumstances such as the depth, size, clinical stage, pathological type, and cell differentiation of the lesion. The following different surgical methods are performed: ① cervical cone resection, ② extended extrafascial hysterectomy, ③ sub-radical hysterectomy, ④ radical hysterectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection, and ⑤ other surgical procedures. Radiotherapy is suitable for all stages of invasive cervical cancer. It can also be used for elderly patients and patients with early-stage cancer and carcinoma in situ who are not suitable for surgery. Standardized radiotherapy for cervical cancer includes two parts: external radiotherapy and intracavitary radiotherapy, which form a reasonable dose distribution in the tumor area. Except for a few early cancers, a combination of intracavitary and extracorporeal radiotherapy is generally required to achieve the ideal therapeutic effect and achieve the goal of radical cure. The survival rate of cervical cancer for more than 5 years after treatment is over 90% in the early stage, about 60% to 70% in the middle stage, and about 11% to 50% in the late stage (stage III and IV). |
