There are three reasons why female vulva ulcers are caused

The female vulva is of great significance to the female reproductive health. However, in daily life, there are many diseases that damage the health of the female vulva, such as vulvar ulcer, which makes women very painful. So what exactly causes vulvar ulcers in women? In fact, there are three causes of vulvar ulcers in women. The first one is nonspecific vulvitis.

1. Causes of female vulvar ulcers

(1) Nonspecific vulvitis: The condition is mild and often occurs after scratching. The ulcer is superficial but painful.

(2) Sexually transmitted diseases: Many sexually transmitted diseases will cause vulvar ulcers during the course of their disease. For details, see the discussion of genital herpes, chancroid, lymphogranuloma venereum, and syphilis.

(3) Behcet's disease: also known as oculo-oral-genital syndrome. Acute vulvar ulcers often occur during the course of the disease, and the most common sites of disease are the inner side of the labia minora, the inner 1/2 of the labia majora, and the vestibule of the vagina.

2. Clinical manifestations include the following three forms:

① Gangrenous type: The clinical symptoms are the most serious. Before the ulcer occurs, there are systemic symptoms such as fever and fatigue. The lesion area is obviously red and swollen, the number of ulcers is small, the appearance is like a hole, deep and with irregular edges. There is a lot of pus attached to the surface of the ulcer, or there is a dirty yellow or gray-black pseudomembrane attached. After removing the pseudomembrane, the base can be seen to be uneven. The lesion develops rapidly, sometimes causing large tissue erosion defects, which look like vulvar cancer, but have soft edges and bases. The patient is in severe pain.

② Chancroid type: This type is more common. The disease develops slowly and there are no obvious systemic symptoms before onset. The ulcers are numerous and shallow, but large in area, with redness and swelling around them, irregular edges, and may also have perforation. There is pus on the surface of the ulcers. The patient's symptoms are mild, and the ulcer heals within a few weeks, but new ulcers may appear nearby.

③ Miliary type: This type of ulcer has many numbers, but the lesions are small, ranging from the size of a needle tip to a grain of millet. The symptoms are very mild and heal quickly.
