When women reach a certain age, they will experience menopause, but this is not simply the absence of menstruation. Women will also experience a variety of uncomfortable symptoms during menopause, which will greatly reduce their quality of life. The most common symptoms are as follows: 1. Changes in the menstrual cycle: The cycle becomes longer, the intervals between menstruation become longer, or there is no menstrual period for two or three months, but it returns to its natural pattern after a few months. This alternation of amenorrhea and regular menstruation can last for one or two years. Some women have shorter periods and too many periods during a period of time. 2. Changes in the appearance of menstrual blood: The color of the blood becomes lighter, pink, or even black, mixed with small blood clots and fiber fragments. The amount of menstrual blood also changes. For some women, the amount of menstrual blood gradually decreases, but for others, the bleeding increases or even becomes heavy. The length of the menstrual period also varies. Some women gradually become shorter and only last 2-3 days, while for other women, the menstrual period is prolonged and can last up to 10 days. 3. Facial flushing and fever: Starting from the lower part of the face and spreading upward to the entire face, the face often has significant vascular dilation, redness, and sweating all over the body. At the same time, dizziness and vertigo may occur, and the degree of flushing varies. Sometimes it is limited to the face and neck, but it may also be frequent and severe. 4. Autonomic nervous system disorders and limb numbness: abnormal sensations and cramps in the extremities, especially at night, heaviness in the lower limbs, as if the legs don’t know where to put them, pain in the lower abdomen, palpitations, pain in the precordial area, headaches, dizziness, insomnia and syncope. They are often irritable, emotionally unstable, easily lose their temper, and are sometimes suspicious and depressed. 5. What should I do if I experience signs of menopause? Under normal circumstances, women enter menopause between the ages of 45 and 55, and it is normal for menopause to occur at this age. But in real life, some women under the age of 40 have also entered menopause. With the early arrival of menopause, it is accompanied by a series of "early menopause" phenomena: they often feel physically and mentally exhausted, irritable and insomniac, dry skin, hair loss, emotional instability, irritability, difficulty in controlling weight, etc. In fact, this is all caused by the endocrine system, the regulator of the human body's physiological functions, which means that women are aging prematurely. Starting from puberty, endocrine system dominates women’s appearance, health and life course. It determines both menarche and menopause. Therefore, the above symptoms are not only manifestations of aging, but also manifestations of endocrine disorders. Endocrine disorders are the cause and aging is the result. |
