What to do if pregnant women have low creatinine? Here are the methods to know

Creatinine is a product of muscle metabolism. There are many types of creatinine, and creatinine has a very significant effect on pregnant women. Many people don’t know what to do if pregnant women have low creatinine. Generally speaking, it can be improved through diet, and you should also pay attention to the intake of vitamins and protein.

1. Salt restriction: Generally speaking, although patients in the compensated stage of renal insufficiency and azotemia stage have high blood creatinine and begin to show various mild clinical symptoms, due to moderate pathological damage, the salt intake can be controlled depending on the presence or absence of hypertension and edema, and a low-salt or salt-free diet can be given.

2. Vitamin intake: Patients with renal failure and high creatinine should choose foods rich in vitamin A, vitamin B2 and vitamin C. If the renal insufficiency only causes high creatinine level due to renal failure, but there is no oliguria or edema, the patient does not need to stop drinking salt and water, but should maintain a low-salt diet. If you have severe edema, high blood pressure or even heart failure, you should strictly limit your salt intake.

3. Protein supply: Because patients in this stage develop azotemia and renal insufficiency, in order to control the further deterioration of renal function, protein intake should be controlled and a diet rich in high-quality protein should be selected.

4. Dialysis

Patients with renal failure usually have creatinine levels much higher than normal. When the creatinine level reaches 500, dialysis can be considered. Creatinine 500 is the critical point for dialysis! But not all patients with a creatinine level of 500 need dialysis. A creatinine level of 500 is just a reference value for most people. Whether dialysis is needed depends on the patient's specific physical condition.
