How to stop breastfeeding after induced labor? Keep these measures in mind

Many women will secrete milk after induced labor, because induced labor is like giving birth to a child, so at this time you need to know some methods to stop the milk from coming out. You can do it by eating some foods, or you can do it artificially. How do you do it specifically?

1. Methods of weaning

There are two main methods of weaning: natural weaning and artificial weaning. Generally speaking, for those who have been weaned normally after breastfeeding for 10 months to 1 year, natural weaning methods can often be used; while for those who have been weaned before breastfeeding for less than 10 months due to various diseases or special reasons, artificial weaning methods are often used, such as boiling water with raw malt, to achieve the weaning effect. In addition, during normal weaning, if there is too much milk and natural weaning is not effective, artificial weaning methods can also be used.

2. Time for milk withdrawal after induction of labor

It usually takes about a week for a person to stop producing milk after induced abortion, but there are individual differences. If a woman is in a late pregnancy, she will definitely experience breast engorgement after induced abortion, so she will need to stop producing milk.

After an abortion or induced labor, due to the regulation of hormones in the body, the brain will temporarily control the secretion of prolactin, a hormone that prompts the body to produce milk. This is why women produce milk after giving birth. It is the body's self-regulation. If it continues for more than 2 weeks and does not improve, you can go to the hospital for treatment and get medication or injections of drugs to control prolactin secretion.

3. What are the precautions for milk withdrawal after induced labor?

1. For women with excessive milk secretion after induced abortion, they can go to the hospital for a milk-reducing injection or use Chinese medicine to reduce milk production.

2. To stop milk production after induced abortion, you can take vitamin B6 orally, 200 mg each time, 3 times a day, for 3 consecutive days, or boil malt into soup and drink it.

3. After induced abortion, if the milk is swollen during the weaning process, you can express the milk appropriately, but it is not advisable to empty the breasts to avoid secreting more milk, or use ice packs to relieve discomfort.

4. To stop breastfeeding after induced abortion, you should first stop drinking large amounts of soup, reduce nutrition, and avoid eating stewed chicken, stewed meat, or nutritious medicinal food.
