Girls always itch down there

Girls always itch down there

Women usually only know they have gynecological diseases when they feel discomfort in a certain part of their body. Many girls only realize they have gynecological diseases when they feel itchy down there. When women find out they have gynecological diseases, they are too embarrassed to tell others and go to the pharmacy to buy medicine for treatment privately, but the treatment results are often not satisfactory. Below I will introduce to you the reasons why my female relatives always feel itchy down there.

What are the common causes of itching in women?

1) Fungal vulvitis and vaginitis. It is often manifested as vulvar itching, burning sensation, redness and edema of the vulvar skin; in severe cases, blisters, papules, pustules or eczema-like erosions may occur, and even ulcers and vulvar pain may occur.

2) Trichomoniasis. Typical symptoms are itching of the vulva and vagina, foamy leucorrhea, often accompanied by a peculiar odor, and eczematous changes in the vulva after scratching. A vaginal smear test can be used to distinguish it from other diseases.

3) Acute and chronic vulvar eczema. Acute phase: The vulva is extremely itchy, the local skin turns red, blisters cluster together, and yellow water drips, often accompanied by symptoms such as erosion, scabs, and suppuration. Chronic stage: Vulvar eczema does not heal over time and turns into a chronic stage; vulvar itching occurs sometimes and sometimes not, sometimes mild and sometimes severe, and the skin becomes dark red, thickened, rough or watery.

4) Leukoplakia of the vulva. Also known as leukoplakia vulvae. Symptoms include vulvar itching, sometimes with burning and pain. The vulva skin is rough, lichenified, scratched, and even slightly atrophied; there is local hypopigmentation, and the labia majora and labia minora generally turn white.

5) Sexually transmitted virus infection. Such as genital warts and genital herpes. Molluscum contagiosum occurring in the vulva often presents as round papules with an umbilical-like depression in the center, which can cause itching in the vulva. Genital herpes is often manifested by the appearance of bright, rice-sized blisters on the urethral opening and vaginal wall, accompanied by local itching.

6) Pubic lice: Pubic lice often lie on the surface of the vulvar skin or attach to the roots of pubic hair. The bites of pubic lice and their venom and excrement can cause itching of the vulvar skin, which may be mild or severe, and may cause desquamation, and may lead to eczematous changes and folliculitis.

7) Pinworm and scabies infection: When the anus relaxes at night, pinworms crawl out of the rectum and swim to the vulva to mate and lay eggs, irritating the skin and mucous membranes of the vulva, causing local itching. When infected with scabies, the external skin lesions are severe and local itching is obvious.

8) Other factors. Local skin uncleanliness, drug allergies, sexual intercourse allergies, etc. can cause vulvar itching to varying degrees; in addition, there are also mental and dietary factors that lead to dry, scaly, and itchy vulvar skin.

What should women do if they feel itchy down there? It is recommended to go to a regular hospital for examination in time, get a clear diagnosis, and take appropriate measures under the guidance of a doctor. Paying attention to local hygiene in daily life, especially hygiene during menstruation and sexual life, and frequently washing the vulva with warm water can effectively relieve symptoms and reduce the occurrence of diseases.
