Does insufficient blood affect pregnancy?

The problem of insufficient qi and blood needs to be effectively regulated, because if it is serious, it will actually cause harm to reproductive health. Therefore, you should pay attention. It is recommended that friends with qi and blood deficiency should avoid drinks such as tobacco, alcohol, and coffee.

1. Will insufficient Qi and blood affect pregnancy?

According to traditional Chinese medicine, insufficient Qi and blood in women will affect their pregnancy, but as long as they are properly regulated, they can still get pregnant. The reason why it is difficult to get pregnant due to insufficient Qi and blood is that the strength of a woman's Qi and blood supply will directly affect the development of her ovarian function. In other words, the health of a woman's eggs is also directly related to the strength or weakness of her Qi and blood.

Many women with insufficient qi and blood are prone to miscarriage even if they become pregnant, because once the sperm and egg combine and implant, the uterus needs to provide sufficient nutrition to the fetus. Women with insufficient Qi and blood have insufficient Chong and Ren meridians to provide sufficient nutrition to the uterus for the fetus.

2. Say goodbye to tobacco, alcohol and drugs

Numerous studies have shown that smoking and drugs can cause miscarriage, premature birth and low birth weight. Additionally, studies have shown that smoking may affect fertility and sperm count in men. In fact, even exposure to secondhand smoke can affect your chances of conceiving. Experts recommend that expectant mothers should avoid drinking alcohol during pregnancy, so after you start trying to have a baby, it is best to reduce your alcohol intake and avoid drinking in the last two weeks of your menstrual cycle in case you have already conceived.

3. Say no to caffeine

Studies show that consuming too much caffeine can hinder iron absorption (which is needed in large quantities during pregnancy) and can also increase your risk of stillbirth. Therefore, it is best to quit drinking coffee, tea, cola and other beverages and drink decaffeinated drinks instead.

4. Control your weight

Women whose weight is within the normal range have a higher chance of getting pregnant. Studies show that women with a body mass index (BMI) below 20 or above 30 are less likely to conceive. Therefore, it is best to keep your BMI value between 20-30 before preparing for pregnancy. If your weight is not within normal range, changing it may increase your chances of conceiving.
