What are the precautions after hydatidiform mole surgery?

After the hydatidiform mole surgery, it is recommended that the patient pay attention to rest more, especially after the curettage, the damage caused to the body is relatively large, so it is necessary to pay attention to rest, strengthen nutritional supplements, and have regular check-ups and pay attention to contraception.

1. Rest in bed

After the uterine curettage, patients should pay special attention to rest. This type of operation causes great damage to women's bodies. Women need to stay in bed for a long time, strengthen their diet and nutrition, and do appropriate physical exercise. It will take about three to six months to fully recover to their previous physical condition. Arrange rest appropriately and avoid overwork.

2 Early contraception After the evacuation of hydatidiform mole, the couple does not need to rush to get pregnant again, and they must use contraception for at least one year. Because if you get pregnant again too early, it may lead to the recurrence of hydatidiform mole. Generally speaking, you cannot consider getting pregnant again within two years after a hydatidiform mole curettage. Even if it is a normal hysterectomy, contraception is required within six months.

3. Regular check-up of hydatidiform mole is generally difficult to completely remove in one go. B-ultrasound check-up is required one week after the operation. If there is no cervix, the uterus needs to be cleaned again. After the evacuation of hydatidiform mole, it is important to check the hcg and B-ultrasound results once a week until they return to normal levels. After recovery to normal levels, regular follow-up is still required, which should be done according to the doctor's advice. Regular follow-up must be adhered to, without interruption without reason, and sexual intercourse is prohibited within one month. Afterwards, contraception and regular blood HCG checks are required for two years, at least half a year.

4 Use condoms . Condoms are the preferred method of contraception after hydatidiform mole curettage. Intrauterine contraceptive devices are generally not used because they may cause perforation or uterine bleeding. Sexual intercourse must be prohibited within one month after the operation, otherwise danger may occur, which may be life-threatening.
