If there is inflammation, salpingography can be done. Controlling inflammation is the most important thing.

Nowadays, there are more and more cases of infertility. Many women will undergo a test called hysterosalpingography when treating infertility. Hysterosalpingography can detect problems with the fallopian tubes. If a woman has gynecological inflammation, it is best to control the inflammation before undergoing the test.

1. It is not advisable to do salpingography if there is inflammation

Hysterosalpingography, which takes X-ray films, can accurately reflect the patient's condition and understand whether the development of the uterus and fallopian tubes is normal, whether the uterine cavity morphology is normal, and whether there is uterine cavity adhesion. When a woman has gynecological inflammation, she needs to control the inflammation first and then perform fallopian tube surgery. This can avoid bringing bacteria into the fallopian tube, increasing the risk of fallopian tube inflammation and aggravating fallopian tube blockage.

2. Indications

1. Infertility is used to understand the causes of primary or secondary infertility. It can not only understand whether there are congenital malformations or pathological conditions in the uterus and fallopian tubes, but also understand whether the fallopian tubes are unobstructed, thereby finding the cause of infertility. In some cases, hysterosalpingography can help blocked fallopian tubes become unobstructed and lead to conception.

2. Abnormal uterine bleeding: Find the cause of abnormal uterine bleeding, understand the condition of uterine mucosa and uterine cavity, and determine whether abnormal bleeding is caused by endometrial polyps or submucosal myoma.

3. To recanalize the fallopian tubes after tubal ligation, it is necessary to understand the condition of the uterus and fallopian tubes to decide whether surgery can be performed.

4. Tumor observation: the impact of uterine fibroids, adnexal tumors and other pelvic organs on the uterus and fallopian tubes.

5. Malformation diagnosis: Uterine malformations such as bicornuate uterus, septate uterus, etc.

6. Foreign body diagnosis of misplaced metal intrauterine contraceptive device.

7. Diagnosis of adhesions: intrauterine adhesions, cervical adhesions, etc.

3. Precautions for salpingography

1. The best time for surgery is 3 to 7 days after the patient's menstruation is over, and sexual intercourse is prohibited 5 days before surgery.

2. Atropine 0.5 mg can be injected within half an hour before the operation to reduce fallopian tube spasm.

3. The patient empty his bladder.

4. Ask whether there is a history of iodine allergy. An iodine allergy test is performed half an hour before imaging. Generally, a skin scratch test is performed by applying 2.5% iodine tincture to the flexor surface of the forearm with a diameter of about 2 to 3 cm. A scratch is made on it and the redness or swelling is observed after 20 minutes. Conjunctival testing or venous testing may also be done. Conjunctival test (conjunctival instillation method): Instill contrast agent into the conjunctiva of one eye. After 15 minutes, observe whether the conjunctiva is congested, red and swollen, and compare it with the side without drug instillation. If so, it is positive. Intravenous test (intravenous injection method): 1 ml of 30% contrast agent of the same batch is injected intravenously. If there is no reaction after 15 minutes, it is negative. If urticaria, sneezing, chest tightness, metallic taste in the mouth, laryngeal edema, etc. occur, it is positive.

5. Patients with constipation can take laxatives orally before surgery to keep the uterus in a normal position and avoid the false impression of external pressure.
