Which type of milk is more nutritious? One look and you'll know

There are many kinds of milk on the market now, including Shuhua milk, high-calcium milk, breakfast milk, etc. This undoubtedly makes people who want to drink milk confused. Which kind of milk has the highest nutritional value?

1. Shuhua milk

The slogan of "refining macromolecular nutrition to make absorption more efficient" has attracted the attention of many consumers. But has it really been refined?

The macromolecules such as protein and fat in the milk have not been broken down and are still there. Lactose is not a large molecule and does not need to be refined. If there is any credit that it has, it is that it uses lactase to partially break down lactose, so that people who suffer from diarrhea and bloating after drinking milk can find milk that suits them.

2. High calcium milk

Milk is good at supplementing calcium, and high-calcium milk is even more effective. This is the result of common sense. However, this is not the case. The reason why milk is good for calcium supplementation is not only because of its high calcium content, but also because milk contains protein and vitamin D that promote calcium absorption and a good calcium-phosphorus ratio.

When adding calcium to milk artificially, first of all, you won't add too much (as can be seen from the ingredient list, there are only a dozen milligrams more calcium than ordinary milk). Adding too much will cause protein precipitation and affect the taste; secondly, the added calcium cannot be absorbed as well as the calcium in the milk itself.

3. Breakfast milk

Breakfast milk is quietly becoming popular. Most people think that this milk is delicious and nutritious. It has different flavors such as walnuts, red dates, original wheat, and peanuts. You can choose according to your preferences.

However, breakfast milk is not actually milk. If you look closely, you will find that it is actually flavored milk. Its protein content is >= 2.3 grams, which is lower than the standard for milk; the ingredient list also includes "white sugar, emulsifier, edible flavor" and so on. It can be seen that its nutritional value cannot catch up with milk. If you really use it to replace breakfast, I am afraid it will be insufficient in nutrition.

In fact, if what we want to get from milk is high-quality protein, calcium, phosphorus, vitamins A and D, ordinary milk can fully meet our needs, and there is no need to spend a high price to buy "personalized" milk.

4. High temperature sterilized milk

This is what we often call "pure milk", which is mostly packaged in pillow bags. High temperature instantaneous sterilization at more than 135°C is adopted. The shelf life is long, generally around 40 days or even longer, and can be stored at room temperature.

Due to the high sterilization temperature, certain nutrients will be lost. However, since there are no strict requirements for its storage temperature and shelf life, and it is easy to carry, it is more suitable for drinking when going out or traveling.

It is recommended that you read the label carefully when purchasing milk, and buy genuine milk according to your needs.

5. Pasteurized milk

Usually called "fresh milk", it is available in plastic bags and ridge boxes. Low temperature disinfection below 70℃ is adopted. The shelf life is short, usually no more than 10 days, and needs to be refrigerated at 4°C. It better retains the nutrition and flavor of milk and is more suitable for family consumption.
