Oral ulcers are not as simple as lack of vitamins!

Speaking of oral ulcers, many people are familiar with them. It is very common in our lives. In many cases, it is caused by vitamin deficiency. In fact, there are many causes of oral ulcers. Let’s take a look at what they are.

Causes of mouth ulcers:

Experts point out that a lack of trace elements such as zinc, iron, folic acid, vitamin B12, etc. can reduce immune function and increase the likelihood of recurrent oral ulcers. In addition, there are many other causes of oral ulcers:

1. Mental factors: In today's society, there is great pressure from all sides. Some patients are prone to mental tension, mood swings, and poor sleep under the pressure of life and work, which are also one of the factors causing long-term oral ulcers.

2. Immune response: Recurrent oral ulcers are closely related to immunity. Some patients show immunodeficiency, while others show autoimmune reactions. This is because due to various factors, the body's normal immune system produces an immune response to its own tissue antigens, causing tissue destruction and disease.

3. Digestive system diseases and functional disorders: Gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, chronic or persistent hepatitis, colitis, abdominal distension, indigestion, diarrhea or constipation may cause oral ulcers and may be accompanied by bad breath.

4. Genetic factors: Clinical experience shows that recurrent oral ulcers have an obvious familial genetic tendency. We often see that if one or more parents suffer from recurrent oral ulcers, then their children are more likely to get the disease than ordinary people.
