Why use sanitary napkins

Why use sanitary napkins

It is normal for female friends to have menstruation, and it happens once a month. It is also a normal manifestation of the body. Nowadays, women will use sanitary napkins when they have their periods. This has become a part of life or a normal phenomenon. However, many friends will wonder why they should use sanitary napkins. For such a problem, let us have a brief understanding through the following introduction.

Sanitary napkins are a revolutionary product for women's menstrual products. For women, they are of epoch-making significance, far more important than the invention of bras and bikinis.

Sanitary napkin is a relatively new term in the past twenty years. I don’t know if it is included in the latest dictionary. I define it like this: "A special product used by women to absorb menstrual blood during menstruation, specially produced by manufacturers, usually attached to the bottom of underwear, close to the bleeding area, and changed once or more times a day depending on the amount of blood. There are many types, but the differences are not big, and blood absorption is its only function. It can also be used for other purposes, such as in medicine."

In the past, the products used by women to absorb menstrual blood during menstruation were not called sanitary napkins, but only toilet paper or sanitary napkins. Before it was called toilet paper or sanitary napkin, it was not called anything. The reason why it was not called anything is that people are rather taboo about this thing and no one mentions it. Since no one mentions it, there is no need for any name to go with it.

But no matter you use cloth, toilet paper or sanitary napkins, they cannot be fixed in one position in the crotch, especially in the past when people wore big shorts, it was even more impossible to fix them. If it is not fixed, the blood will flow out. In order to solve the fixation problem, people invented a kind of crotch cloth called menstrual belt to fix toilet paper or sanitary napkin. A cloth belt two inches wide and about one foot long, with two thin ropes on one end and a noose on the other end, used to be tied around the waist. Its shape is a bit similar to the legendary female chastity lock. This type of menstrual belt was originally made of pure cotton cloth. After rubber became popular, a layer of thin light red rubber was placed on the crotch cloth, a bit like a bicycle belt.

This type of menstrual belt was used for a relatively long time. People were still using it until the early 1980s. It was only in the past 10 to 20 years that it was gradually replaced by various sanitary napkins that emerged like mushrooms after a rain.

Through the above introduction, we now know why we need to use sanitary napkins. This is also a normal phenomenon. It is also something that female friends often do when they are menstruating. Moreover, sanitary napkins also play a particularly important role for female friends when they are menstruating, and we need to use them correctly.
