Do you have stomach pain before your period?

Many female friends know that they often feel back pain during menstruation, especially on the first day of menstruation, they will feel uncomfortable all over. If the patient is in a serious condition, it will directly affect their daily life and work efficiency. In fact, this situation is still a relatively normal phenomenon. Some female friends even feel abdominal pain before menstruation, which is what we commonly call dysmenorrhea.

Due to the sudden decrease of sex hormones in the body before menstruation, it will affect the whole body system and cause certain reactions. These reactions usually occur 7-14 days before menstruation, worsen 2-3 days before menstruation, and gradually ease and disappear after menstruation. In medicine, these obvious changes are called premenstrual syndrome. The general manifestations are: ⑴ Mainly mental symptoms: common nervous sensitivity, irritability, general fatigue, sometimes causing headaches, insomnia, lack of concentration, etc. ⑵ Mainly physical symptoms: common symptoms include swelling of hands, feet and face, abdominal bloating, abdominal distension in some people, constipation in most girls, lower abdominal pain and breast pain, etc.

Normally, there should be no abdominal pain after sexual intercourse. Generally, women will feel pain when they suffer from adnexitis and pelvic inflammatory disease. Generally, such pain is not particularly severe, but should be dull pain. However, once sexual intercourse occurs, the pain will be aggravated due to congestion in the female pelvis. It is recommended that you go to the hospital for a check-up as soon as possible. If there is no problem, of course it is good. If there is, timely treatment should be given to avoid delaying the condition.

Dysmenorrhea refers to cramping pain in the lower abdomen before, during, or after menstruation, accompanied by general discomfort that seriously affects daily life. There are two types: primary and secondary. If no obvious abnormalities of the pelvic organs are found after a detailed gynecological clinical examination, it is called primary dysmenorrhea, also known as functional dysmenorrhea. Secondary dysmenorrhea refers to those with obvious lesions in the reproductive organs, such as endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, tumors, etc.

It is normal to experience headaches, breast tenderness, fatigue, tension, general weakness, mental depression or irritability, restlessness, insomnia, pelvic heaviness, abdominal pain, diarrhea, dull back pain, nasal congestion, edema and other symptoms during and before menstruation. After menstruation, the symptoms will disappear naturally. If there are no other abnormal symptoms, no special treatment is required. Pay attention to rest during menstruation and do not eat raw, cold and irritating foods.

In fact, there are many kinds of symptoms before menstruation, but the symptoms before menstruation are very different for every female friend, so it is still judged according to each person's physical constitution. However, after menstruation, these symptoms will gradually disappear. If there are no abnormal symptoms, there is no need for any treatment.
