Threatened abortion has been a common problem in recent years. Threatened abortion refers to the occurrence of lower body bleeding in the early stages of pregnancy accompanied by varying degrees of abdominal pain. Many female friends find bleeding in their lower body shortly after being diagnosed with pregnancy, which is most likely a symptom of threatened abortion. So what color will the blood of threatened miscarriage be?

Threatened abortion cannot be judged by the color of the blood

After a woman becomes pregnant, she will often experience a small amount of vaginal bleeding (pink) or brown blood discharge, which may stop and start, or may continue to flow. Or she may first feel the fetal movement, followed by slight back pain or abdominal distension, or a small amount of vaginal bleeding. These are all signs of threatened abortion. It falls within the scope of "fetal leakage" and "fetal movement disorder" in traditional Chinese medicine. When the above symptoms are severe, miscarriage may occur. Three consecutive miscarriages are called habitual miscarriages. According to clinical manifestations, this disease can be divided into three types.

【Qi and blood deficiency syndrome】:

In the early stages of pregnancy, there may be pain in the lower abdomen, or in the middle stages of pregnancy, the fetus may move and feel restless, there may be a small amount of vaginal bleeding that is light red and thin, there may be mental fatigue, weakness in the limbs, a pale or sallow complexion, palpitations, shortness of breath, laziness to speak, or lower back pain and abdominal distension, a pale tongue, a thin white coating, and a thin, slippery and weak pulse.

Kidney deficiency syndrome:

After pregnancy, there is soreness and swelling in the waist, a feeling of falling in the abdomen, or vaginal bleeding (dark red), dizziness, tinnitus, weak legs, heel pain, frequent urination, and even incontinence, or repeated miscarriages, pale tongue with white coating, and weak pulse.

Blood-heat syndrome:

Normally, the patient has a healthy body and a hot temper and likes cold drinks. After pregnancy, the patient has bright red miscarriage or fetal movement and decreases appetite. The patient has red face and lips, irritability, hot palms, dry mouth and throat, or hot flashes, short and yellow urine, constipation, red tongue, yellow and dry tongue coating, and a slippery and rapid or stringy pulse.

There are many reasons for threatened miscarriage, and the color of the blood of threatened miscarriage cannot be generalized. The amount and color of vaginal bleeding are different. Some will have a small amount of vaginal bleeding, and others will have recurrent vaginal bleeding. Pregnant women need to undergo relevant examinations immediately if they experience bleeding from the lower body.
