What to do if a pregnant woman has bleeding stool

We all know that a woman’s body is at its weakest after giving birth. In addition, she may also develop illness at this time. I really don’t know what to do. Moreover, mothers usually have a question: why does their stool bleed? So, when they see blood in their stool, they become very worried. In fact, bleeding in the stool is very normal, just face it calmly.

Postpartum stool bleeding can be said to be one of the more common diseases. In addition to the fact that the abdominal muscles of the mother are mostly relaxed after giving birth, the pressure on the pelvic cavity is very high, which can easily lead to difficulty in defecation and cause anal fissures. So, what should a woman do if she has bleeding stools after giving birth?

1. The anus should be kept clean after delivery, and gently wipe it with water after each bowel movement.

2. Avoid sitting for long periods of time. When you have free time, you can do eye-lifting exercises frequently to strengthen the contraction of the anal sphincter and promote local blood circulation.

3. Eat less spicy food to prevent aggravation of anal edema and other symptoms.

4. Preventing constipation in advance is what we need to do before solving the problem of postpartum bloody stools. Because mothers consume a lot of heat, weight and nutrients during pregnancy and delivery, proper nutritional supplementation after delivery is necessary, but it must be properly regulated.

5. Perform abdominal massage to increase the chance of intestinal peristalsis.

6. Develop a habit of daily bowel movements and shorten the intervals to avoid constipation caused by excessive accumulation and excessive water absorption.

It is very common for postpartum women to have bloody stools. Almost every pregnant woman will encounter this situation, so postpartum women do not need to worry too much. Of course, postpartum stool bleeding can be controlled. Daily abdominal massage or developing a daily bowel movement habit can suppress this situation, and the treatment is not complicated.
